We definitely enjoyed our stay at The Cliff House! The service was great all around. We had a rose and chocolates waiting for us in our room. A portion of dinner in the restaurant was part of our "romance" package. It was very nice. Decent food and a wonderful atmosphere with live music and a fireplace. Loved the wine selection!...

Charming historic hotel, beautifully appointed and maintained, just off the main street of Manitou Springs. Lovely rooms - we had a room with a gas fireplace, as well as with heated towel rack and toilet seat! Generous hot and cold breakfast included. Lovely dining room but we opted for less expensive but delicious Red Bar/Grill for supper of salad and...

We spent two nights at the Cliff House and it was a perfect getaway. Our accommodations were in the F.W. Woolworth Suite which is located in the far eastern end of the property. It has extensive windows where you can watch daybreak as the sun lights the mountains and the top of Pikes Peak at sunrise. The Bar and Grill...

The Cliff House is great! The facility is unique, historic, and staffed by well trained, attentive people. If you want access to Colorado Springs and/or the Pikes Peak/Garden of the Gods/US Air Force Academy, it is conveniently located and yet "off the beaten path". We felt like we were staying in a Bed & Breakfast because of the intimacy of...

Loved the feeling of the hotel. It was like a step back in time. Had one dinner and one lunch while there as we received a $30 food credit per day with the romantic package. Service was very good as was the food. The included breakfast was good, not great. Pretty good selection. Location was great for the local sites...

We selected The Cliff House for a wedding and reception. The setting for the wedding was beautiful, especially since – in spite of balmy weather and showers – they were able to open the sliding windows around the wedding ceremony to let the beauty of the autumn colors of the mountain backdrop come in! The communications for planning were very...

We had a most wonderful time at The Cliff House and we loved Manitou Springs. The hotel is quaint, the queen room spacious and everyone was sweet and helpful. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable though certainly not the best food we've ever had. The bar could use a little more character but the offerings are extensive. We would have enjoyed...

Staff could not have been nicer, generally clean but showing signs of age. The rooms (king suite) are large and well furnished, very attractive but one of the upholstered chairs in our room had a discomforting stain, and the carpet s are ready for replacement. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
