This is such a unique and one of a kind establishment. My wife and I wanted to do pikes peak and the Manitou incline and we happen to stay here. The rooms are fantastic with their own names, character, and design. They even offered us an upgrade. A beautiful place. Food was very good also.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 4 October 2016

The Cliff House in Manitou Springs is a highly recommend establishment. The hotel is said to be the oldest hotel in Colorado under continuous operation as a hotel. The renovations at this establishment are very well done. The veranda, patio and the public areas are extremely inviting. Hotel appointments in the public areas, and especially those of historical significance, are...

We had a wonderful romantic weekend away at this hotel! The location is ideal for walking about the little town. We loved the friendly service (valet, front desk, servers, and housekeeping). Very quaint and charming. Definitely valet your vehicle. It's worth the $8.50/night. We had a king bedroom and were quite taken with the HEATED toilet seat. Other reviewers mentioned...

My husband and I stayed here recently and we absolutely LOVED it. To be totally honest we didn't find the surrounding towns, Manitou Springs, or even Colorado Springs that great. They are a bit older and appeared run down. But the hotel made up for this 100%. Every moment we spent at the hotel was absolutely enchanting. The customer service...

I guess the first thing I want to say is that this house is not on a cliff. Somehow I had expected the place to be hanging off a cliff perched on Pikes Peak. Once I got over the disappointment of it not being in a dramatic setting, I was quite pleased with the hotel. Be aware that street parking...

To start off I am a hairdresser and was highly referred to this hotel by a very trusting client. I was so excited to stay here. I requested a upgraded room because of our special day. When we got to the room we were just sick inside. I realize the hotel is over 100 yrs old but our walls were...

This is a beautiful hotel both inside and out. The recent renovations makes the rooms feel like new, but with a Victorian feel. Very friendly staff that upgraded our room to a spa tub for free. The staff greats you every time you pass and make sure you are happy with your stay. The room included turn down service and...

The service was great, the room was comfortable, the food was awesome, can't wait to go back. We are going to make it a yearly tradition. We walked to shops and had lunch at a local place. Nice little town the locals make you feel welcome.

The Cliff House has a storied, and somewhat checkered, past, but it is presently in grand condition, and offers superb service. The named suites (Teddy Roosevelt, Henry Ford, etc.) are large and filled with beautiful period pieces, plus fireplaces and jet-stream tubs. The hotel restaurant is excellent; I recommend the duck and the trout dishes. Beautiful breakfast spread and some...

Really enjoyed our stay at The Cliff House. It really wasn't long enough to explore the hotel and the area. What a fantastic piece of Colorado history right down to the details. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
