We were excited to check in to our room at the brand new La Quinta Inn on Alkire Drive in Littleton. Then the staff person handed us a Post-it note with our room keys and we got our first clue that they were not quite ready for guests. She explained that we should put the post-it over the motion sensor on the light so the lights wouldn't go on if we turned over in our beds. When we got to our room, we were surprised that we had no soap: the only toiletry was a single wipe for makeup removal (1 wipe for the occupants of a room with 2 queens). There was no luggage rack: we were told they had a furniture shortage due to supply chain issues (and they apparently opened more rooms than they could fully furnish). Some rooms had door hangers; ours did not. There are 2 hooks in the bathroom and 1 small towel rack- not a lot of options for hanging wet washcloths and towels. Before turning in, we placed our Post-it and hung a towel over the luminescent bright blue thermostat that lights up the whole room. We turned the temperature up from a freezing 64 to 72 - but later it reset to the default program, which was a steamy 83. Maybe it was the act of flinging off the covers that set off the motion sensor despite our carefully placed Post-it. We reset the temp, hung a red blanket over the thermostat, replaced the Post-it and went back to sleep to the hum of the rooftop compressor. In the morning we headed downstairs for breakfast. No one was eating in the dining area and we found a sign at the front desk offering us our choice of breakfast sandwich that we could microwave there or up in our room. No fruit. We decided to grab a cup of coffee and walk a half mile to a cafe for real food - but my companion wanted decaf and that wasn't an option. We spent our time at the cafe looking for a new, more comfortable place to stay. Apparently they're bringing back a crew to redo the lighting in every room. In the meantime, it's a not quite ready for prime time hotel in the middle of a construction site and they could steal the slogan from Motel 6, "We'll leave the light on."

This was the worst hotel I've stayed in all my years of traveling. Alex was good, but others didn't seem to care about customer service. They didn't have the hot breakfast as advertised. Only frozen breakfast sandwiches or burritos. The toilet seat was broken and kept coming off. They said it couldn't be fixed as it was defective in all rooms. Replacement lids were ordered, but had not arrived. We only had 2 bath towels in the room, but had 3 people staying. No hand towels or wash cloths. Since they didn't clean the room, we ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex tissues. Hotel was dirty. Never saw staff cleaning. Our room wasn't cleaned after the first night. Had to go get more towels, toilet paper and Kleenex Bathroom door made a loud, grinding noise when opened or closed. Everyone woke up when someone went to the bathroom. Alex did fix it after the first night. Overall this was the worst hotel experience we've had in all of our years of travel.

nice location, easy off and on highway. close to Red Rocks--if you approach Alkire street from Bowles Avenue you cannot make left turn into hotel due to an island in the street so you have to flip a U-turn to get to hotel entrance. Staff was friendly, room clean, no breakfast at hotel but you can get a to go sack breakfast from front desk. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area if you head up Bowles Ave. towards Wadsworth.

This is a very nice facility. The rooms to the north have great views, and comfortable beds. The front desk staff is fantastic. I was bothered by a low tone resonance noise on the 4th floor, and the desk person moved us to a different room without hesitation. She handled guests at the desk quickly and and professionally. We will be returning in 2 weeks for another Red Rocks concert!
