Owned by french couple, not very customer friendly. Cafe closes very early. It is expensive compared to the room and service as it is the only place in Lake City. Internet connection is painfully slow. Does not have decent cable connection.

I wanted to say another round of thanks to Jim & Nita Arnold who operate Pleasant View Resort & Rocky Mountain Jeep Rental in Lake City, Colorado. We have rented Jeeps from them for years and have always had clean late model Wranglers that have all been excellent rides to tour the San Juan backcountry. You will find that the... More

We rented the 2 BR Alpine Grove cabin from the Pleasant View Resort folks and we were very pleased with our stay there. This cabin sits well away from the other cabins up against an aspen grove, and it provides much more privacy. We had more rain than usual for the area, but it was great to be able to... More

The cabins are very clean, we used it mainly for sleeping only. Sparsely furnished which worked for us. One tv in the cabin, we brought our own for the bedroom, however, each room only has 1 electrical outlet. The wifi is very slow and they recommend 2 people sign on at a time, however, it's very slow, so most of... More

We spent another great July week at the Pleasant View Resort. They have ten two bedroom rental cabins all decorated in the 50's style. Each has a front porch which is great for relaxing in the Colorado weather. They rent jeeps and ATV's for use on the high mountain roads around the town. Views on the roads are spectacular and... We had a fantastic time at Pleasant View. The cabins are quaint and rustic with vintage decorations. A lot of fun and sets the right feel for being in Lake City. We travel a lot, and the customer service here was the best I've ever experienced. When our Jeep had a flat tire, Jim provided us a spare and then... More

It's spacious enough, comfortable enough, and well stocked with all the kitchen tools one needs. There's a nice front porch for viewing the deer that pass through every day, and a bbq grill at each cabin for cooking up steaks or burgers or whatever your heart desires. But there is something sorely lacking in these cabins: a personality. Everything is... More

Having rented a cabin there three years ago, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed in any way during our second visit. The hosts work very hard to insure a pleasant stay for guests. Relaxing on the front porch on a beautiful fall day is the best, especially if any nearby critters (aka deer) come by to pay... More

We did not stay at the Pleasant View Resort but the owner had such a big impact on our trip I wanted to make sure people knew of their professionalism and compassion. When we arrived in Lake City in early August, our VRBO rented home was still occupied and that left 8 of us with out a place to stay... More

First time staying at Pleasant View Resort and I really liked the cabin. It was so clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Loved the knotty pine paneling. Reminds me of places I stayed as a kid in the 60's. Would definitely stay here again.
