I was a bit put off by the negative reviews from a couple of summers ago but the lodge now has new owners and WOW! They have done an amazing job! The couple that run this, Doug and Edy were super helpful, answering all my questions and ensuring that my stay there was as relaxing and idyllic as I wanted....

When I arrived I pulled back the bed sheets in the North Shore Lodge room. It had short black hairs about 2 inches long in quite a few places. When I got ready for bed at night, hIsaw long black hairs, gross! At night our friends were going to bake a few cookies. Check this out, the large pizza pan...

Probably 80% of our business consists of guests traveling with their dogs. We are often praised for having a place where that is not evident. As any pet owner will tell you, it is impossible to remove 100% of the hair. We sincerely apologize that you encountered some and would have gladly remedied the situation if notified. We do not...

When we first drove up we thought it might be a little more "rustic" than we had anticipated, but quickly found that the unit was very clean, bed very comfortable and staff VERY helpful. The kitchen area was small, but had all we needed to make basic meals. Gas grills are available for grilling, fire pits were lit each night...

First of all, there are 2 locations...I didn't get this until we got there. There are cabins right by the office, therefore by the "canal" for fishing, etc. And then there are the cabins at the "lodge", about a mile up the road. These are right on the lake. There is a long shared deck that runs across the back...

Each unit has very unique and fun themed decor. Each unit also has a fenced in back yard with grill and deck and access to the water canal. There are...

We're glad you enjoyed your stay in our uniquely decorated units! We love to see guests use the games we loan out. (We also have books, magazines and DVDs that we loan out at no cost.) We've really made an effort to anticipate guest needs and stock all the kitchenette items, linens and basic cleaning supplies they might need. The...

The unit worked well for a family of 5 and is very cosy. You need to pick up the keys at the office on the main road and then take a short drive down to the lakefront. The outdoor terrasse have the most fantastic lake view and is roofed which is very convenient for the occasional evening rain. The front...

We stayed in the Out-On-A-Limb cabin with our 16 year-old daughter and two dogs and were completely charmed from the moment we pulled up to the lodge. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The decor is kitschy but appropriate for the location and spirit of the environment. The view was lovely with deer grazing along the canal that the...

Never been to Grand Lake and selected Mountain Lakes Lodge (North Shore) and was not disappointed. They have two groups of cabin, rustic and the more modern ones at North Shore, which is where I stayed. North Shores is right off the edge of Grand Lake and I had a private area to walk my dog, sit by the lake....
