This campground is adjacent to Clear Creek, which is absolutely beautiful! The park was clean, lots of trees, with a very nice walking path along the creek, a big park just a few yards away, and downtown within a short walk. The park is small, so can be difficult to get into, but we would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here for three days, it was great. Lots of trees and shade which is unusual for most rv parks, the clear water creek is right by and you can hear it while you sleep. There’s fishing tubing, and kayaking offered. Its also close proximity to the town and a nice park. My only complaint was the bathrooms and showers were closed and the rvs are way to close together to the point where you can smell cigarette smoke from your neighbors and can barely pull in and out of the spot. Other than that I highly recommend
We stayed at the camp the last week of July 2019. It was a great campground and a great location. I was a bit concerned when I booked because it is right in town next to Colorado School of Mines. For us it was perfect because our daughter was moving to an apartment next to the College. But it was awesome. Everything was walking distance. The activities at the creek were so much fun. There are paths for running walking or biking next to the campground and all around it. We have a dog so walking trails are important. The camp ground was clean and friendly staff and a great laundramat too. We were there for the Wild Bill festival just down the street. That was a fun time. We tubed down the creek which was more challenging that it looks.
We stayed here many years in a row. It has been a wonderful experience every time! The campsite is in a great location to walk or bike to town. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking and biking distance. They have clean showers and toilets available. Right next to the Creek for tubing if you would like.
We chose this for our last night before handing back the RV and it was perfect. Very helpful people, lovely quiet spot, neat walk along the creek into town, where we had a great meal. Definitely a good way to finish the driving part of the trip.
