We arrived here late and stopped, hoping they had a vacancy, as everything was full the preceding 50 miles or so. Fortunately for us they did. It was a lovely room with double and twin sleigh beds. The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was an undistinguishable odor that kept waking me up through the night. The House... More

My husband I stayed at the Peck House for one night over the 4th of July weekend because, honestly, it was the only place that had any vacancy last minute. The owner was nice and accommodating with our schedule both the evening we arrived and in the morning with breakfast. The room was nice and appeared to be clean. The... More

We first stayed at the Peck House years ago and I remember enjoying the food at dinner--as I recall the menu at that time featured game. So even though the Peck House isn't a great fit for my style--I don't care for Victorian stuff and I don't like B&Bs--I was looking forward to our stay here. Our room actually surprised... More

I found this hotel online and thought it sounded interesting. We only stayed one night as we were moving around the state. The hotel is very old but well taken care of. Keeping in mind that it is over 100 yrs old, there are few amentities-no TV, small rooms, etc. However, it has a lot of character and the food... More

I am from California (sf ) and flew out for my birthday weekend. My husband and I took off on an unplanned weekend getaway with no reservations. Upon arrival in Georgetown, Idaho Springs etc...everything was booked!! Just when we thought we were going to have to go back to Denver the wonderfully helpful innkeepers at Argo Inn and Suites (who... More

While reading online reviews about "The Peck House" on how food is delicious and well presented and being the oldest hotel in Co., made us excited to check in at least one night for a short getaway w/o calling or booking online for a room reservation. When we got to Empire, CO and saw the "The Peck House", there were... More

We have been visiting the Peck House for about 14 years now. We have stayed there but we go back for the food. This is world class food and is our favorite of all the restaurants we have been to in all of the states we have visited. We used to live in Colorado, now Cheyenne Wyoming. We still make... More

The Peck House in Empire is the oldest Hotel in Colorado and is a genuinely class act. The property has turn of the century beauty and has been meticulously maintained. The rooms range from quite large to good sized (bigger than most of the Paris hotels I've stayed in). The staff is very friendly and helpful, even pointing out where... More

We arrived in the drizzly evening, stayed for one night and were pleasantly charmed by how cozy and quaint this place is. The dinner at the hotel was nice and quite unique. We shared a seafood appetizer and a house pate plate, the entre was a huge portion of steak, quail and lobster plate ...truly a unique experience!

Me and several of my friends booked 2 rooms at The Peck House. 2 of us sharing a room with a bathroom and our friends taking the smallest room with no bath. The hot tub is great and relaxing. It had a wonderful rustic mountain feel. The view from the bar is one I will never forget! The food in... More
