Rented the lake cabin and felt like a second home right away! Remote feel but all the B&B luxuries on site. Really enjoyed the full breakfast that was cooked fresh each morning and didn't cost a penny. Go when they offer a course meal dinner,it was first class all the way!

We wanted to have a different experience than a typical hotel while visiting Mesa Verde National Park, and so we chose Blue Lake Ranch B & B. The property is about 30 minutes to the Park, so not very far. It is also about 20 min. to Durango, which was also a plus (we arrived from Santa Fe). The property...

I organized a nonprofit retreat of 22 people at the Blue Lake Ranch in mid-October. The property, about 40 minutes away from the airport, is beautiful and spacious with nearly 20 rooms located in 5-6 individual houses, each with private bathrooms, a perfect fit for our group. I got countless compliments about the spacious and well-appointed guest rooms, the breakfasts...

We stayed here three nights while visiting Durango for a family burial. We have stayed in downtown Durango in the past but decided upon this location as it sounded peaceful. I will admit that I was beginning to wonder what I had reserved as it did take about 20 minutes or so past Durango into the countryside. Once we found...

Stayed here while visiting Mesa Verde National Park and enjoyed it. The property is very quaint and quiet. Breakfast both mornings was great, with biscuits and gravy and breakfast tacos. While we enjoyed our stay, we have two recommendations: please advise customers that the Mesa Verde room has a bathroom and kitchenette on the first floor and bedroom on the...

Stayed in the Cabin on the Lake, which needs a walk through the grounds from the main house, but you can drive and leave your car at the cabin. You will need to drive a few miles from the Blue Lake Ranch to get to the nearest restaurant, but it is all worth it. Enormous cabin with large character living...

We stayed at Blue Lake Ranch for our daughter's wedding August 2014 and cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is!! The staff and management were more than helpful with every detail of the wedding; we did not need a wedding planner! We stayed here several times before the wedding meeting vendors and making arrangements and every stay was...

A charming group of cottages in the countryside around Durango Colorado A new owner is doing great improvements that will insure the property's future quality. Be sure to check the rooms and cottages carefully as they differ greatly. My favorite was the Sunrise room. Breakfast was good but could step up with more individualized meals. A great group of people...

I'm a sucker for these quaint USA B&B's. And when you find one, you need to shout loud, as they are usually family run, by people who give... well, you know what they give..... and more. The Blue Lake is just one such of these. I suppose in some respect it (and it's type), are the truly unique hotels. Every...

As other reviewers have commented, it would be a shame to write a bad review of such a wonderful place. I agree with that and so will start by saying that I would recommend this B&B to anyone. We had a wonderful time. The breakfasts were fantastic, the Spring House was superb with a great interior and a back deck...
