Would definitely recommend the Grand Hyatt Denver to anyone visiting. The staff and facilities were great. Rachel reached out to us a couple days before and made our stay wonderful. Thanks again to everyone
Stayed here for 4 nights on a trip with my son to celebrate his graduation. It is only a block off of the famous 16th Street Mall and walking distance to a plethora of restaurants, shops, bars, and all sorts of fun things to do. The free shuttle bus runs up and down 16th Street right to Union Station. We took the shuttle to the train station, hopped on the train and took it right to the Broncos stadium for a short walk to the game. The hotel itself is classy, clean, well staffed, and every member of the staff was exceptionally friendly and polite. Room was clean, well-appointed, and we had nice view of the downtown area. They have a small market, a nice restaurant/bar on site too. I have already booked a return trip this month for a visit with my wife.
We use Hyatt almost exclusively when traveling. Our stays at the Grand have always been fantastic. The staff is very courteous, the hotel is clean, and you always feel comfortable in the rooms. Top notch service and hospitality. I wish this hotel had a hot tub, but other than that, it is well equipped.
I was here for a business meeting, my room was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the lighted magnified mirror in the bathroom, nice surprise. Staff was very helpful and friendly, they all knew their jobs well and were very intent on providing top notch service. Good location to walk to restaurants!
I chose this hotel for its indoor pool to accommodate a "staycation" for myself and my sister who is disabled. Prior to our arrival he hotel asked me if there was anything they could do to make our stay a pleasant one, and they delivered exactly what I requested: no feather bedding, a quiet room, and ADA compliant. The trick with the room is getting a manual wheelchair over the ridge in the doorway, and this involved quite a bit of muscle to push/pull the wheelchair. The mattress on my bed had a noticeable valley on one side, so it would benefit the hotel to change its mattresses. Taking my sister from our room to the first floor for breakfast made mornings easy, however the breakfast buffet has a lot of room for improvement. The person manning the omelette bar was on their cell phone. As I waited for my sister's omelette to be made, I was serving myself oatmeal when one of the staff members was walking over with a pitcher of hot water to add to the saucepan. Not exactly appetizing. The overall selection of breakfast items was not up to the same level of other hotels I’ve stayed at; this buffet was more three-star than four. We only sat down to eat when our bill for the buffet was left at our table. Are we eating at a restaurant or at a fast food establishment? On my last night I decided to treat myself to a cocktail at the bar, so I requested a Negroni. This is a classic cocktail that consists of three ingredients in equal measure. Asking the bartender what Amaro is used for the Negroni was met with, "Hey, man, I’m just trying to ask which liquors you want me to use." This felt like a losing battle so I asked if the bar had fresh lime juice. He said yes, so I asked instead for a Last Word. Again, a classic cocktail made with four ingredients in equal measures. I talked him through the ingredients to only witness random measurements of each one. I understand that it’s hard to find and retain people in the hospitality industry, especially after a pandemic—and certainly with a general public fixated on instant gratification. That said, having an interest in cocktails can be quite lucrative if done correctly. Just not here. The hotel is keen on asking for a perfect 10 in customer satisfaction. My experiences in the hotel were met with a standard "I genuinely appreciate the feedback and I will use this information to help coach and improve our team." In all other aspects of the hotel, an overnight stay will not disappoint. Just don’t eat or drink here.…
Given free upgrade at check-in!! Room was amazing!!! Valet parking was very convenient and prompt. We ordered food from the bar/restaurant on the ground floor and they were cooked to perfection. We highly recommend this facility if staying in the Downtown Denver area for any occasion!!
Grand Hyatt hotels tend to be very good, and this hotel conforms to that expectation. What sets this hotel apart is excellent staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. We did not have any issues and enjoyed our stay. I should note that the bar had a great happy hour. Great service there also
Everything was great. From the time I arrived and checked in. The staff welcomed me in. When I was in our meeting the staff also made sure that if we had beverages and the food was excellent. Great service all around.
Great experience form check in to departure. Perfect location and wonderful service provided by warm and kind staff. Self parking was offered. Breakfast buffet was very good. I will be returning for sure!
I used to stay here weekly for work 20+ years ago. Was excited to bring my family here. Hotel was well upgraded and much more elegant than I remember. Extremely friendly staff. Great location - easy walking to 16th Street Mall and other restaurants/attractions. Would 100% recommend this hotel!
