I just checked out of the Westin Denver Airport. I had a great stay. I received a high floor corner room - if you love airports, the views are spectacular. The room was fresh, clean, and rather spacious. As an ambassador member of Marriot, I think this was an upgrade. I was hoping for possibly more of an uopgrade, but, I was very happy with this. I loved the pool and Jacuzzi on the 11th floor. Very clean, warm water, and a great way to relax all while viewing the airport and the distant mountains. Tons of points here. Check in agent was excellent. On-site restaurant was great as well as was a late night drink at the Lobby bar - sky lounge. My status included a breakfast voucher, which for 2 was $50 credit in the restaurant. Very generous, and the breakfast was delicious. The price - I have to say it, is steep. I am very well in tune with hotel rates, and hotel airport rates around the country, and this one is waaay up there. That being said, I enjoyed it, but might think again considering the rate. I could have stayed at the Ritz in Denver for about the same. At the end of the day, If these needs fit your travel plans, this is the place to go.…
I had a lovely, restful sleep before a 6:30am flight. My bed was very comfy and the room was quiet. My little dog was able to stay with me in my room ($50 pet fee is way less than most hotels) and the front desk staff were very welcoming. There is a bar located by the front desk so I could grab a drink with my dog before going to my room. It’s located right next to the airport outside park so you can enjoy some night air. SO convenient to wake up and walk right into the terminal. FYI, You still have to go to airline check-in when traveling with a pet so give yourself extra time. I tried to check-in the night before and pay for my in cabin pup, but was not able to print a bag tag to check my luggage. In the morning, I tried to check my bag at the kiosk but it still wouldn’t recognize my check in without seeing an agent. It was a good thought! The only complaint regarding my stay was that the receptionist at the front desk wasn’t sure where the dog relief area was located. we walked all over and finally found a spot that wasn’t scary where my dog decided to go. They really need to have a map of their pet relief areas. Apparently there is one near the valet, but I never found it. DO NOT go to the one near the 200 door of the airport. its really scary at night alone in that parking structure.…
Recently stayed here to take an early morning flight out. As the title describes, the location and proximity to the airport is a big plus. It falls off of a cliff after that. Rooms are tight and very dated and look pretty worn. Sheets barely fit the bed and there are no mattress covers. Bathroom is super small and dated. Hallway had glasses and other leftover room service items that were never picked up. Potentially the worst part is the lack of food options, especially given how large the hotel is. There’s an upscale restaurant or a pub place. We chose to eat at the pub. Over an hour wait and no literally wait staff. They only had one chef in the kitchen. Like the hotel, the place appeared to be in need of cleaning and in disarray. Not sure if I’d stay there again. Needs some work and given the size of the airport, I’d expect better.…
Very good location at DEN. But very expensive ( $500+/night) and out-dated. despite the marketing. And as others have written, the sound insulation to the outside is very good, but room/room is like in a 1 star motel. TVs are old, no streaming possible, and there isn't much else to do when stuck at DEN. Restaurant is only open 3 nights/week, no room service for breakfast or when DR is closed ( if I understood the reception correctly). Old coffee makers with powdered whitener, despite having a fridge where UHT milk creamers could be stored.
I had to travel around Christmas, with its once-in-a-blue-moon, national weather event and all the delays and cancellations and lost luggage issues that accompanied that time. I spent one night in O'Hare Airport and, on the way home, had an unplanned stay over in Denver. Leaving that airport hellscape and - just steps away -- entering the serene and airy environment of this hotel felt like pure refuge. Check in was fast. Alas, room service was not available that night. In the elevator, I noticed that you cannot get to upper floors without your hotel key -- that's a nice security feature. My room (1203) was clean and fresh but entirely unremarkable: king bed, chaise, the usual desk and mounted flatscreen, coffee setup. Empty mini frig, no bathrobe, just an individual-sized bottle of still water. Clean modern bathroom with excellent shower (though a good soaking tub would have been welcome and therapeutic). Nice view of the airport -- total cost: $494 (senior discount) + $72.87 in state/city/local taxes + $4.94 in occupancy/tourism tax = $571.81. That's pretty crazy. The hotel does offer a Sky Lounge bar, where I had a fabulous glass of cabernet while waiting for my takeout order (from their in-house Grill & Vine restaurant) to be completed. The Cobb salad I ordered was very delicious -- but they don't even throw in a roll. Anyway, the Westin is a wonderful refuge but I've stayed in far, far better first class hotels and never spent anything like that before for a simple room. The location makes this hotel special; nothing else.…
The entire experience left me wondering if I’d arrived at a Motel 6. Guest greeting consisting of poor entry drive guest drop off signage, no one lifting a finger or asking if I needed help with bags, some inoperative vertical circulation to the lobby, and a so so desk experience. Ordered dinner room service from the 8 1/2” x 11” paper menu, which arrived with cold soup, an uninspired salad, and the worst undrinkable wine I’ve had in two decades. $80. The room next door had the TV on and with the paper thin walls I could enjoy it too. An emergency use only hotel, resting on its location laurels.
Westin is one of Marriott’s premium brands but certainly did not feel that way. Long line at check in (mobile app saved having to wait in line). No suite upgrade for Titanium member even though it’s a heavily touted benefit of staying 75+ nights. So much for brand loyalty perks. Powdered creamer with no stir stick, who likes clumps in the coffee? Stains on one of the towels. Is this what you would expect from a premium hotel with a premium price ($400/night)?! 43” TV in the room, but the bed is so far from it, it seems tiny (thought it was a 32”). Not even a smart TV, so no streaming option. Glad I used points, even then feel a bit cheated.
Our family (including an infant and a 4 year old) stayed here for the convenience of getting to the airport on the Sunday after Thanksgiving which is typically a very busy traveling day. I cannot say enough about the hotel. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and I rate this near the top including some of the luxury hotels. The service was impeccable. I did not need to wait to check in as an additional staff appeared to check us in. We had ordered adjoining rooms and a crib and all was as requested. The crib was perfect and the beds were extremely comfortable. The walk to the terminal was less than 5 minutes and the elevators were easily available. It was fun for our 4 year old to watch out the window to observe the planes landing. He was so excited that he had trouble going to sleep. We did not use the gym or pool/spa but plan to next time. In fact, although our daughter lives nearby, we plan on staying there every-time we visit. …
Wanted to not have to rush in the morning on our way to Atlanta so decided to get a room at the Westin. It was also my husband's birthday, so we thought it would be a treat. It was fancy, fun and everyone was so kind! They upgraded our room, so it was roomy. We had a nice view of the airport, but the wonderful thing was, we couldn't hear a thing! Amazing!! The restaurant on site, was so good. And the next morning, easy peasy to our gate. We will definitely have to do that again!
I can’t say enough about the quality of the guest service in this hotel. Our flight was delayed and did not arrive until 2 am. The hotel sent a bellman over to collect our bags . Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he was so friendly and helpful. Courtney at the front desk was also very accommodating. We needed bandaids at 3 am. A security employee (sorry didn’t get his name) brought them to us and helped me carry water to my room since I was on crutches. Very friendly. I really have to give a huge shout out to Laura. When she saw that my mother and I were not able to walk, Laura went out of her way to bring our breakfast up to us ( room service was not offered at this time). We had a wonderful experience at this Westin. Rooms clean and super comfortable. Thank you, thank you, thank you!…
