Catbird is an independent hotel in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood that blurs the line between hotel and home. It's a welcoming space designed to be every bit as intriguing as its home in the city’s hippest area. Not just a base camp from which to go out and see cool stuff, but one of the very places you look forward to seeing. Put yourself in the heart of the city's vibrant creative center and experience all the feelings that travel should inspire.

I have never stayed in a hotel like the Catbird. The positives include location and access to light rail to both downtown and the airport. We had a car which I would put as a negative. Valet parking was $42 a night but we found free street parking a block and a half away. You need to look at signs closely but the best choice is to use transit and skip having a car. I was emailed that checkin was at 4:00 and I would get notification when the room was ready. We called at 4:15 and they said the room should be ready. I had requested an early check in and we never had a response or notification the room was ready. The self checkin was pretty easy. The roof top bar was closed on Monday night so we could not even go up on the elevator (locked) to check the view. The room was small with some interesting design features but the platform bed was not great for anyone who needs to get up at night. The art work and lobby were nice. The $25 fee included one beverage and one breakfast… if your traveling as a couple I wasn’t sure why you only get one of each. The bathroom is nice and projection TV was enjoyable. If your looking for a good Rino location and hipster vibe this hotel works.

Dear Mary L, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and apologize that the only downside of your stay was the cost of parking. At $42/night, we are one of the lowest priced valet parking services in the city. There are several self-parking garages within walking distance that are half the price, but do not offer unlimited entry/exit privileges as valet does. This can be a great option as well. We do keep the rooftop closed when the restaurant is closed and there is still ongoing construction taking place. Once the hot tubs open (under construction), we will have this area accessible to all guests. Sorry for the inconvenience! Thank you for mentioning the $25 Destination Amenity Fee of $25/night fee that provides you daily - 1 hot breakfast entrée from the Catbird Kitchen (valued at $12); unlimited drip coffee or tea ($10) ; 1 beverage item from the marketplace happy hour (alcoholic or non $10); rent-a-plant from ReRoot (take a lobby plant to your room); Wi-Fi; hydration stations on every floor; laundry supplies and use of equipment; access to fitness center w/Peloton bikes, treadmills and Ergatta water rowers; access to the Playroom - scooters, kitchen appliances and active gear; access to concierge storage lockers. We are looking to change this programming beginning January 1st, to include 2 hot breakfasts, as this is common feedback from our guests. We hope to welcome you back soon! Courtney

What a stunning and well crafted space! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with great care taken in every detail, from the designed lobby spaces to the color choices and decor in the rooms (I particularly loved the bathroom vanities and the beer/wine/cocktail selection in the fridge). I stayed here while in town for a friend's wedding and the stay was fantastic. The staff were so friendly, even when checking in late at midnight. The park across the street was great for the dog and the location was great for walking to nearby restaurants and bars and the artsy RiNo neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this for a staycation, oo out of town visit. I'll definitely be back, and actually already have the next trip booked!

I am totally in love with this wonderful new hotel in Denver. Just off Larimer, and inches from the 38th and Blake light rail station, the Catbird is everywhere you want to be in Denver. My visit started in September and continued into October 2021. I shared my suite with a family member and we had plenty of space to eat, sleep and work. We brought food back from restaurants and it was easy to store in the large apartment sized fridge and then reheat on the stove top or the microwave. The hotel provided us with coffee in our suites and with vouchers for a breakfast downstairs if we preferred that option. The room had a nice large flatscreen tv in addition to a projector that could also display streaming tv on the oversized picture window blind. Every detail was carefully thought out and included in the interlocking elements making up the suite: There was ample space beneath the queen sized platform bed for long deep storage (think skis) and for hanging clothes. Additionally, there were hooks along the wall as one entered the room where bags, backpacks and jackets could be hung for easy access. Our suite had a small built in sofa/bench that doubled as a second bed, similar to a trundle bed in style. And the kitchen was complete with a near full sized refrigerator AND a full freezer. Plus a stove top, a microwave, and all the needed kitchenware like plates, knives, forks, can opener, coffee pot, etc. I’ve stayed in several extended stay and in rentals by owners over the decades and the Catbird has them all beat hands down. And did I mention the Vespas, the rooftop bar or the cozy and expansive areas for work/study on the first floor? You’ll need to see for yourself, on your next trip to Denver.

Do you want a hotel that looks cool and you can party with your friends and that’s all you care about? Perfect, this place is for you. Do you want to sleep or take a shower or get help from a staff member? Nope, you are out of luck. Unfortunately we were there to sleep. From the moment we arrived and saw groups of drunk guys, we knew we’d picked the wrong hotel for us. We would have left had we not had to forfeit almost $300 to do do. This is not to slam the hotel entirely. It’s very attractive, the artwork is fun, the projector screen is a cool feature, and it has thoughtful touches for long term stays. However, from the broken soap dispensers to trash left in the bathroom to the shower that wouldn’t drain to the constant noise to the staff that suggested that I didn’t understand how to use a shower (!?) when I tried to report the issue, I think you can do much better for your $300 if you want an actual good nights sleep.

Shoutout to the the surprisingly decent breakfast and the valet staff who was super helpful and friendly and steered us to safe overnight parking for our car filled with camping gear; their valet lot is not monitored or secured so I really appreciated them directing us elsewhere. That was great guest service. The same unfortunately cannot be said of the rest of the hotel. They gave us one complimentary drink for two people which is just bad business. It just gave us a reason to immediately head out and explore the city of Denver. If you want to keep us there to make more money, give us both a drink and we’ll likely order more because we’re settled in. Also, I don’t understand the point of the bored hipsters who sort-of work there since you self check-in/out and so I’m not clear what they actually do and they didn’t seem to care that we couldn’t shower and offered no resolution or even apology. It felt like an upscale hostel and the pricing did not match what you get. Last time we were in Denver, we paid about the same for Hotel Teatro and had a much nicer, though admittedly less Instagrammable, experience. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for.

Dear robberbride, I appreciate you sharing your experience with us. I would love an opportunity to speak with you so I may research the condition of your room, and follow-up on the communication from my team. Please contact me directly at: courtney.griffith@catbirdhotel.com. I would like to apologize for the 4th of July party; we don't normally host parties like that here, and allowed a group to buy-out the rooftop for a special event. While we are busy this time of year, it is normally guests coming and going for activities in the area. I would like to make it up to you and hope that you will reach out to me; and give us a chance to provide you a true Catbird experience the next time your travels bring you to Denver. All the best, Courtney Griffith

Well first let me talk about the location, it is the perfect spot in all of Denver, close to downtown and thirty minute train ride to the airport and right in the middle of the awesome up and coming RiNo Arts District. Second let me talk about the actual hotel and room, the hotel has amazing decor throughout the entire lobby and even through the hallways. The room itself is awesome, I've been staying in the studio and it truly is a home away from home. The kitchen has all my cooking needs, the bed is super spacious and comfy, plenty of storage for everything I need for my stay. The projector is of course the main focal point of the room and just ties and makes the room perfect. Even though the projector seems to be most peoples favorite part, my favorite part is the water station in the hall sparking or still? why not both (thanks for keeping me hydrated Catbird.) I am doing a long term stay and I just want to give Housekeeping a shout out, they go through the room so thoroughly and leave it spotless every time they come and clean the room 5 stars for housekeeping. The rent a plant program they have implemented is super great especially since coming into this experience by myself I made a plant friend right away and named em Pokey. Finally my last point I want to make that made my stay the absolute best experience I've ever had is the hardworking staff first off Kristen always finds a way to make me smile and laugh and always just has a great attitude, Allya, Rosalie, Gilbert, Taylor, and Ethan are of course without a doubt the best front desk crew I have ever experienced each of them have their own ways of making sure I am doing good and enjoying my stay and getting me whatever I need and of course are always there even when I just need to vent about my work day! I could say something wonderful about each of them but don't want to get carried away writing a novel. Thanks front desk crew! I cant forget about Draven if I ever need a laugh I know exactly where I need to go for that and that's to you Draven thanks for making me laugh even when I am feeling down! Finally I cant forget the wonderful breakfast/lunch staff Jenn, Tayner and Jacob who always keep me fed and are there to pour me the best mimosas in all of the land! To all management and staff of The Catbird Hotel yall are the best and keep dojng what yall are doing its only to get better from here!

This hotel was unlike any other we have stayed at. Very hip and laid back vibe when you enter lobby. Not your typical reception desk but self check in which was a bit weird but no problem. Even though no receptionist, there was always someone in lobby area to ask a question or get help. The staff was super friendly and helpful, special recognition for Kristin who was so nice and answered all our questions about what was nearby and also how to work some of the technology in the room. She is a rockstar! The valets were also super nice and helpful. We had a car problem with our rental and they were very helpful with advice. Always very welcoming when we returned to hotel.
Now our room which was very unique. We had a king studio so typical king bed, very comfortable. The amenities in the room were terrific. We loved dropping the blackout shade and watching the projector TV on the shade. The kitchenette was stocked with so many neat things, the coffee pot was real unique, took a minute to figure out but the coffee tasted awesome. All the drinks and snacks were great although we didn't partake in too much. The little touches like a yoga matt on the wall, travel bag to use and other items to make your stay better were a really cool touch. I think hotels in the future are going to be like the Catbird using cell phone technology and other methods of making your stay better. The Catbird is ahead of the curve. So close to everything downtown, we had no trouble grabbing an uber and going to a hockey game and dinner downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel for a unique and great stay in downtown Denver.

Just found the greatest place for extended stay in RINO Denver. Rooms designed for guests to work, eat, sleep & store gear for weekend fun on the slopes or camping out. Breakfast downstairs and cocktails on roof, and everything else can be refrigerated and reheated in your room.
The design is quirky and fun, with an old house remaining on the property and the hotel built around it. It makes the floor plan for room access kind of crazy, but crazy-fun.
My suite had a queen sized bed, a sofa that folded out to accommodate another sleeper (or two, if children) a full kitchen, a desk, hanging clothes closet, pantry, safe, long deep storage bins, luxury rainfall shower and two screens for streaming tv. How they fit all those features into about 300 Sq feet, I will never know.
There’s a lovely little beer garden next door where you can find a big screen for watching sports while dining on charcoaled burgers. It’s all good!

Catbird Hotel was definitely one of the best experiences I've had in the US and especially in Denver. The entire grounds are incredible. The room (the Catbird Microsuite) was perfect with high tech features, an incredible bathroom, and the projector was straight up amazing. The view blew our minds. Plus that rain shower...

Not to mention the staff - wow. The entire crew, Jen, Kristen, Beverly, Ethan, Angelique, and the rest were just baller. Never felt more at home and welcomed and they made sure we had the absolute greatest time. Graham at the upstairs bar made us amazing holiday drinks before we made snow angels on the rooftop while it snowed.

The freshly made food and kitchen was the icing on the cake, and I probably tried everything in the fridge and most things on the menu. Everything was 100. I'll be back shortly and actually will likely end up staying long term here in the future, thanks to the info I got from Donovan!

Love this Catbird Squad. You'll see some doggos, but sadly no cats nor birds, aside from some dope curated art 😜

The Catbird is a beautiful hotel that is very hip. Call me old school, but I'd actually prefer some level of human interaction. The hotel has many amenities (and a hefty amenities fee) but they are nearly impossible to take advantage of because there is no clear information provided at the self check-in. Also, the "front desk" staff stands behind a coffee counter so I was confused about whether it was a front desk or a separate element so it really felt like there was no one to ask. For example, I only found out after checkout that a breakfast entree and coffee were included in the room. The biggest disappointment was when realizing after a workout that the shower function in my room did not work. We called down to the main desk to ask whether we could shower in another room since we had to get on the road. The front desk person initially said the hotel was booked and it wasn't possible. After insistence that sending an engineer up would just delay us further she said had to check and call us back and didn't at all seem concerned that our expensive hotel room had a major flaw. She eventually agreed that we could shower down the hall (as if it was a favor to us) and had us call down to tell us when we were done (again, as if we were the inconvenience). This might be nicer for a long term stay where you can take the time to learn the property/amenities but this was definitely more like a hostel with a shared bathroom - not the comfortable night stay we had planned on our road trip.

Dear drajacuqelinda, Thank you for taking the time to share details about your stay with us! We really appreciate all the feedback, as it helps us improve on our processes and identify areas that we may need to overcommunicate the details on. We do charge nightly Destination Amenity Fee of $25/night fee that provides you daily - 1 hot breakfast entrée from the Catbird Kitchen; 1 coffee or tea; 1 beverage item from the marketplace happy hour (alcoholic or non); rent-a-plant from ReRoot (take a lobby plant to your room); Wi-Fi; hydration stations on every floor; laundry supplies and use of equipment; access to fitness center w/Peloton bikes, treadmills and Ergatta water rowers; access to the Playroom - scooters, kitchen appliances and active gear; access to concierge storage lockers. All of this information is on the confirmation email, pre-check-in email, collateral on the back of the guest room door, and in the key packet. We try to overcommunicate as we promote a self-check-in experience, and our lobby ambassadors always available to assist. The shower situation is uncommon and the first time we have ever heard anyone experiencing this. We have our engineering team on-site 18 hours/day, and I do show where our team logged your shower issue and sent engineering to investigate the matter. Our hotel has been sold out most nights, and apologize we did not have an immediate option for you to move to. The front desk made it a priority and our manager was able to locate a recently cleaned room. I apologize that it came off as insincere, as she quickly escalated it with our team; involving her manager right away. We do not compare ourselves to a hostel, as every room is private and has it's own bathroom, kitchenette, and amenities. I appreciate you and the feedback for our team to be more informative at check-in with how things operate and our processes. We would 't want anyone to miss out on fully experiencing Catbird and all it's great amenities and advanced technology. Hope to welcome you back soon, Courtney Griffith

The Catbird was one of the most unique and beautiful hotels that I’ve stayed in. Everything from the room, the lobby, location and staff was wonderful. Everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. Kristen was always making sure that our room was equipped with everything and letting us know she was there if we needed anything. The front desk helped my boyfriend and I rent the catbird scooter for a couple hours which was very fun! The breakfast was delicious as well, which was cooked right in front of us :) The overall stay was very warm, welcoming and relaxing. I highly recommend The Catbird and cannot wait to stay here in the future!
