We stayed here at the beginning of December and got a corner room suite. The room was incredible with excellent views! We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was pretty good food. Service was about a 6/10 there. Unfortunately, our stay took an unexpected turn we were woken up in the middle of the night to a gunshot and a bullet coming through the window. Now, to be fair, the hotel obviously has 0 control over this as we think it was a passing by vehicle on 20th street that was popping shots into the building. However, our larger concern was that the maintenance guy informed us that "it's been happening a lot recently". In addition to that, the hotel did not see the need to call the police and when we checked out I requested that the manager that was coming on later in the day call us. We never received that call. I called back a couple of days later, left another message to speak with the general manager, and again, I was never contacted. I don't think the hotel could have prevented the shooting but I do feel like they could have handled the situation with a little more tact given how shook up my wife and I were over the whole situation.…
We recently spent 4 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn. I had read other reviews and was a bit tentative but was pleasantly surprised. The staff including Kurt, Andrea and Marissa were beyond polite and accommodating. The first two days I was traveling alone and Kurt took extra care to make certain I was safe. Andrea met my room request needs and I ended up with a great room, 1213, on the Hilton Honors floor. Marissa was friendly and helpful in making sure my road bike was locked up safely. They were always front and center to greet us when we arrived back at the hotel. We had our dog, Luna, with us and they all treated her like royalty. An added plus was the well-equipped exercise room and lap pool. The weather was rainy for two days so we were grateful for options. The location is great and within walking distance to Union Station, King Soopers, restaurants, and the interstate. The valet parking fee is steep ($38/day) but the underground parking is much appreciated. They are not yet serving breakfast and you have to request housekeeping. I’m certain these are COVID issues. I will be back to this hotel when I visit Denver! Thanks to you all!…
We're staying here visit our son who lives in Denver, and in addition to a nice location this hotel has everything one would want when visiting downtown Denver. It's very close to Coors Field, and there are many restaurants and supermarkets close by. The service at the hotel is great, too, and we especially appreciated the extra level of service provided by Christine on an early Saturday morning. Thank you all, we'll be back.
Food wasn’t good at all however the location, staff, pool, and rooms are great. The grocery store across the street, near the highway which makes the travel from the airport was great. Just the breakfast needs major improvement.
The hotel was beautiful, with great views from the rooms and the pool. Service was average, fairly apathetic workers. I would definitely go again to enjoy the pool! The restaurant attached had a warm feel and very creative, delicious food. Again, the service was poor though.
We stayed for 2 nights (12th floor) Room was spacious and clean. Equipped with fridge, safe and microwave. Check in was fast abd room was ready even before 15h00. Location is ok but we took uber everywhere we went. Breakfast is available $10-$14 but we didn't eat there. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel- we ate supper there but didn't like it (will write a separate review) Gave 4 star since ac/ heating was extremely noisy had to turn it off at night and noise from train woke us up several times eventhoug we were top floor. If you want mountain view it's facing commerciwl train trucks. There was no place to hang clothes since Iron and ironboard is located right under the bar (see our photo) We would stay here again. PS. Uber from airport to hotel was under $40.
The hotel is very nice and centrally located. Staff is friendly. But I was disappointed that they held an extra $50 for incidental s without telling us, I noticed it after checking in and when I asked at the front desk the reaction I got was defensive. I just think if you charge something like that , it should be mentioned up front, it’s only right.
This property is so close to everything, we walked or took a lime everywhere we went. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We discovered 2 new restaurants with in walking distance. Honestly, the room was so nice though, we just stayed at the hotel and relaxed for a good portion of the time.
After 24 plus hours of travel it would have been nice of the guy on reception would have put the phone down to check us in, didn't even get told what floor our room was on , no explanation of hotel facilities, breakfast etc, tried to go for a swim pool was ice cold , same guy casually said its broken waiting on a part been there almost 10 days and ots still ice cold , when I asked I was told its hot outside it will be nice to cool down well it wasn't pleasant, I thought payment was taken but to my surprise it wasn't git a call after 9pm over halfway through my stay to say my card isn't authorised for the rest, why the full amount want taken I don't understand maybe if the guy on reception had checked it could have been avoided, I would name him but he never introduced himself , such a disappointment, room was fine , the people serving breakfast were very nice but the rest of it not worth the amount …
We planned a last minute trip over Labor Day weekend and wanted to stay away from downtown Denver & 16th St. We really like to hang out in the LoHi area so we gave this HGI a try. Honestly, we weren't expecting much. My husband and I flew in & took the RTD to Union Station and walked short 8 min to hotel and check in was friendly and quick. It's attached to a restaurant we had been to before, Woody Fisher, across from King Soopers grocery, close to Coors Field. Great location! Walked almost everywhere. Safe without some of the issues of 16th St. It was sold out but I didn't hear a noise from another room. Bed & pillows comfy. Easy to get Uber. Would definitely stay again. If flying out took 47 min total (~10 min hotel to Union Station & get ticket or use app) + 37 min train ride to airport terminal. Super easy.…
