The location and convenience of the food hall being connected to the hotel were the best parts. Everytime we tried to use the “complimentary” service car it was broken, not available or as the valet guy on Saturday night said yeah, i’m not bringing you anywhere because this big party is about to leave the poke lola- after looking at us and saying do you need something? No- hi, how are you, sorry I can’t do that. Just kind of rude to be honest. Sunday night at 8pm we tried to eat at Kachina in the lobby and they told us they were already closed and we could find late night food elsewhere. The restaurant closing hours listed was for 9pm. We were set to check out Monday morning and called for a late checkout with full intentions to pay for it and a 3pm checkout was $300. Online I could have booked the room for another night for $279. When I questioned the front desk she said well we need the room and I can give you the 3pm checkout for $279. So what is it? I can book the room online or you need the room. We declined. Our duvet cover was stained with a huge brownish liquid it looked like. We didn’t notice until the 3 night because the sheets had finally come apart from it. The wall next to our bed had coffee spilled all over it. For as much as we paid we definitely could have gotten a better experience elsewhere so be cautious in booking. Details are important and they all missed the mark here for me. …
Had a really nice stay at the Maven this month. The bed was so comfy and the amenities were great. LOVED that they gave you as much bottled water as you needed and didn't nickel and dime you for it (especially in Denver!). I was surprised at how quiet the room was but it was greatly appreciated. Having the Milk Market right downstairs was super convenient and I was able to walk there with luggage after taking the train from the airport to Union Station. Would stay again.
Our stay at The Maven over Christmas and New Year was marvelous. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially the front desk team and valets. We were always welcomed with a smile and warm hello. The entryway is very modern with a large sculpture hanging from the ceiling and lots of places to sit and relax. The lobby Airstream is the place to be for a complimentary beverage at happy hour. Our room was spacious and open with floor to ceiling windows and a great view of the city. A fun mural greeted us as we walked in. We had a couch, table and choirs and a bar area with a sink. Pour over coffee and tea were there to start our day. The linens were luxurious and SO comfortable. The bathroom was huge and the shower was the best part. TIP: order the eucalyptus spray for your shower. A giant waterfall shower head and separate hand sprayer plus lots of water pressure. The hotel lobby has several restaurants and bars to visit. Stop in for a complimentary cup of coffee each morning. The gym is well appointed and not crowded when I was there. Even Pelaton bikes. The Dairy Block and Milk Market are fun to explore. Check out cool spots in The Alley with twinkly lights and heaters to make any night an experience. We had a great stay. Highly recommend The Maven.…
Nice hotel, but a bit mod or spartan for my tastes. Location a few blocks from Union Station. Staff was very helpful. But we had to walk to Union Station for breakfast since we wanted more than coffee and a pastry.
Left a brand new leather jacket on a hanger with a shirt. The shirt was “located” but not the jacket. Dishonest cleaning crew leaves a bad impression on the hotel overall. If you stay here you better lock up your valuables. Sad because it’s a nice place but I won’t be coming back or recommend this place any longer.
The room was clean, and I found the hotel to be quiet, unlike some other reviewers. The front desk people were always cheerful and helpful, as were the doormen. We booked the hotel two months before travelling at a certain price. My 3 stars is specifically because, about ten days before our reservation, we got an email informing us that there would be a $30 per night (!) “destination fee.” The rationale was that there were “amenities” that were being offered by local restaurants and bars. Most of which involved things like 10% off a particular drink with lots of “only when accompanied by” types of conditions. My husband and I rarely drink, so when we do, we like to choose what and when. Even if we did try to use these particular “amenities,” there’s no way that 10% off a drink or two equaled $30 worth per day. Due to real life busy-ness, we had neither time nor energy to protest—and we shouldn’t have to. This is a deceitful practice. We were quoted one price and it was raised close enough to traveling that they knew it would be inconvenient to find an alternative. …
The Maven is a wonderfully designed hotel in the best location in Denver. The rooms are large, tastefully done ame comfortable. The service was best in class and in all honesty you’d never have to leave the property for anything. Shopping, gym, food choices are all on site. The staff was accommodating and kind The Maven is now my go to Hotel when visiting Denver!
We loved staying in this hotel, the restaurants, and shops right on the ground floor are great and we loved walking around this neighborhood - it was easy to get to many other places we visited in the city too - Union Station, RINO, LODO. The rooms are nice, very modern feel....however our room was a little rough around some of the edges and maybe not as well thought out - no table to be able to eat something in the room. The only place to sit in the room was a swing (cool feature) or the bed that was low to the ground. We did not spend much time in the room though except sleeping, so this was not a big deal for us.
The maven was so amazing!!! Leo was our favorite employee- he was so welcoming and helpful with recommendations and fun things to do. He made our trip amazing!!! Everyone was super friendly and it was such a beautiful hotel with lots to do around it.
The Maven is a beautifully designed hotel in a great location of Denver but the best part of the entire stay was the staff. Every single person I encountered from housekeeping to management went above and beyond every expectation I had, Leo, Leo, Leo is the most helpful person i have ever met in the hotel industry, if you are thinking of booking at The Maven, do it, you will not regret it!
