Many competing Hotels have not chosen to achieve the extra work Covid 19 guidelines require as this Home Wood Suites has! Not only is it super clean EVERYWHERE- it is routinely sanitized in all public areas including the gym, business center, laundry, common areas. They have not opened their kitchen- but good eats are a short walk away. We enjoyed Einstein Bagels for breakfast though the Hotel has a grab bag if you ask ( we didn't so I've no idea of the contents); Ted's Montana is for takeout-curbside or through the delivery people; Applebees diningroom is OPEN if you want to dine. Do to Covid 19, housekeeping of your suite must be requested at the desk. If you need more linens, or TP, or what not, ring the front desk then go down and pick these up. We are pleased at the freshness of the linens- as if the linens are washed TWICE. The customary hotel market is fully stocked- at least during our visit. There is a 7/11 store nearby also well stocked. BEST OF ALL: this is a quiet hotel though having about 70% occupancy- can't hear the guests nextdoors- though meet them in the halls. NO MOLD, MILDEW, or INSECTS. Staff is pleasant and customer oriented.

Hotel's Favourite
The rooms are huge, the employees are friendly, and the entire property is spotlessly clean. We stayed here 2 nights and loved every second. The beds are comfortable, the shower pressure was good and we had plenty of towels. They also give you two free bottles of water. I loved staying here and will definitely do it again.

Stayed at this hotel specifically for the airport parking. But they didn’t have enough room on the shuttle to take us to the airport on the way in. They suggested we take Uber. Upon return to Denver, we called for a shuttle and were told 10-15 minutes. After 35 minutes, the 1st shuttle showed up, but the driver told us it was the wrong shuttle for us, that he didn’t have an ‘order’ to pick us up. We called the hotel back after he drove away; they ‘sorry, we’ll send him back again.’ It was 6 degrees outside in Denver waiting for over an hour. About the hotel itself, can’t comment much. We literally only stayed in the room for two hours, as our drive to Denver was delayed by a huge snow storm over Vail Pass. I would think they would try really hard during the COVID thing to provide better-than-expected service. Unfortunately, many businesses are failing for all the wrong reasons.

Homewood hotel - 4 night stay Check-in Hotel was sold out the night before (yay for them). Waited in the lobby till a room was ready. Said my room number and last name out loud twice when I checked in then when I was getting something from the suite shop. Put a single woman and her son on the first floor. Breakfast- because my flight came in super early and I was there in time for breakfast- almost Nothing. When my son asked for a granola bar and a yogurt he was told one or the other. They didn’t even have the cereal boxes. They only had orange juice out- I can’t have oranges, so I asked for other options and was told there wasn’t any. When I mentioned that I knew that they were supposed to have at least 3 kinds of juice and that I can’t have orange juice the lady went and got me cranberry juice. No evening social hour, even though the shuttle driver told us there was. The meeting room had full catering though (& No social distancing in meeting room). When I asked if we could change rooms to a higher floor so to not be single females on the first floor I was told the hotel was sold out. . . The hotel is sold out Wednesday and now Thursday night but still no evening beer, wine or food. I thought this was a Homewood Suites by Hilton?? The next morning went down for breakfast and coffee— it looked lighter than tea. And there was only One kind of coffee “robust” (See picture). The only fruit they had was oranges, when I asked if they had anything else, I was told no. According to Hilton they should have Apples. Went to the front desk and requested housekeeping, and asked about apples. Front desk when back to the kitchen and got 2 serran wrapped apples and told us housekeeping would clean our room. Came back, no housekeeping came. Went to front desk and got more coffee and they gave us waters, I asked about the hot tub and was told we had to schedule our time for it, one hour time slots. Got to the room talked with the rest of our party and called to schedule hot tub- was told it was booked completely for the evening but could be available for tomorrow, we scheduled for the morning after breakfast. Breakfast Saturday- 2 kinds of coffee, robust and “robust” both are see through and look like watered down tea. No hot items?!? Was told “because covid”?!? Does covid spread from breakfast burritos?? We call to ask if we need a special key for the hot tub and are told that the hot tub isn’t working, they are working on repairing it now. I ask for clarification on time and am told that the hot tub has been out of order for 4 days or so because they were waiting on parts that arrived today. I ask why I wasn’t told this at any time we asked about the hot tub and made our appointment for it was told that the pool was still working, I said I wasn’t interested in the pool, I specifically asked for and wanted the hot tub. She said didn’t know but was sorry. We ask if we can be contacted when the hot tub is fixed- they say yes. 30-45 minutes later we call for an update and was told that our time slot was almost up and they were booked for the rest of the day and the pool/hot tub closes at 8pm instead of 11pm like their sign says “because of covid”?!?!? At this point I’m annoyed. She asks if we want to make an appointment for in the morning... sure. Make appointment for the following morning figuring we can enjoy morning coffee and hot tub. We ask for housekeeping to come again while we are gone. Housekeeping came- yay! They loaded the dishwasher, but didn’t start it and didn’t leave us any dish soap, either to wash the dishes in the machine or by hand. My son had already plated his takeout food and I was getting myself some water when I realized the glasses and all other dishes were unwashed and we had no soap. Went down to the front desk (completely understanding that they don’t have the staff to bring us amenities because of covid- no problem going to the front desk). The front desk gentleman is very apologetic and sincere about there being no soap. All in all the housekeeping has done a stellar job on the hotel cleanliness, minus this one mishap. The next morning (Sunday) we call about getting the key for hot tub and are told we don’t have an appointment?!?!!! Annoyed and aggravated beyond belief but at this point all we can do is laugh. Breakfast is still a joke. They have bags out, but no hot items. The breakfast attendant comes over and I ask why there isn’t hot items, she says because of covid and I give her a puzzled look and ask why they have them during the week. She says because of staff shortage on the weekends, but when I mention that I thought it was her working the breakfast on Thursday and Friday morning as well she says “this is what management decided for the weekends”. We decide to go out for breakfast. The IHOP on Mississippi was very good. That afternoon we have a wedding and we are gone the rest of the day. Housekeeping does come, fresh towels and washcloths are given and everything is clean. Housekeeping really has done a pretty stellar job on cleanliness, the bathtub is clean- no trace of the invisible bath mat in the bathtub even. They are even still providing the makeup remover packages and additional bottles of water when we get our extra coffee packets. Which is why the other drastic cuts on service and the lack of training on the front desk is so frustrating. This hotel was probably fantastic before covid hit, but the corners they have chosen to cut are not wise and there needs to be significant training at the front desk. The hotel has obviously been renovated recently, the lounge chairs in the guest rooms are the only items that show they haven’t been updated and are pretty threadbare. The couch, the dining chairs, the beds all look clean and new, the 2 armchairs though are very worn and have holes in the fabric.

Overall, it's a good Homewood Suites, not much different than any others. But they have obviously done a tremendous amount of cleaning to keep ahead of the COVID-19 issue. The whole place smells like Lysol, but I mean that in a good way, that's what I would want in a hotel until the virus issue is a thing of the past. They had one guy who was going around cleaning everything in sight, and that's what I would lie to see in every hotel I stay at right now.
