Historically the B&B is interesting-kitchenettes in the rooms and a small separate windowed dining area, but everything feels old and worn out. The rooms were quite despite the B&B being on a major road. The breakfast is "to order" and was disappointing-overcooked eggs and the order wasn't correct. I come to a B&B to enjoy thier brand of breakfast--not to...

With a little more decorating expense plus savvy, and more comfortable beds the Holiday Chalet could be special. The building is charming though a bit dowdy. Breakfast was made to order and excellent. Our room had a small refrigerator, small flat screen TV with standard Comcast choices. The bathroom was a clean old fashioned facility with great water pressure, and...

Although this is bed and breakfast is in an industrial area of town and there are many homeless around, none of the homeless ever bothered us or asked for money or help. There were some nice restaurants nearby and it is close to the bus stop to take us into town. It was also close enough to walk into town...

This place cost close to $200 per night! I've been traveling from NY to Las Vegas with my girlfriend and wanted a nice place to stay in Denver. Though this place looked great from the photos, but the place older than I thought. Woke up each morning from a back ache. The bed was squeaky and old. This place is...

We just returned home after 3 nights at Holiday Chalet. We stayed in two different rooms and enjoyed both. They were different, with separate types of charm. One room had a sun porch in addition to a kitchen, bath and main room with a sitting area. We enjoyed watching the world go by on the street below. Usually our vacations...

The accommodations look like a proper English B&B. A delicious breakfast was made to order while we got to know our fellow travelers. Everyone we met there was super friendly, including the staff. They were able to take us in at the last minute due to a reservation error at another hotel. At half the price, this was the preferred...

When we checked in we were told that our room was ready and were led to a different room than the one I had reserved months ago. When questioned why the room change I was told that it was more "convenient" for them as another guest wanted to stay in that room. The alternate room was acceptable, however, in general...

Where do I even start? WORST traveling experience ever, and I travel very often. The "management" (and I use that term VERY loosely because they had no record of our company check that they had already deposited 2 months prior to our arrival) was not professional (Brian was one of them and he was extremely rude), and the owner was...

I don't know where to begin. There is no parking for blocks. There are transients hanging out in the streets. It is a bad part of downtown. The air conditioner was an old window unit, small, cheap, and old. It did NOT blow cool air. The manager argued it was fine. The sheets were old and dingy, and threadbare. There...

This B&B was super cute and affordable and conveniently located to the hospital I was training at. There were some restaurants within walking distance which was nice. The rooms were very cute and plenty big with a bathroom and some sort of kitchenette. One of my rooms had a sitting room. I unfortunately had to start work before breakfast started,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our hotel is a fully-restored Victorian, brownstone mansion originally built in 1896 for prominent Denver jeweler Henry Bohm of Bohm Jewelers. Elegant period décor along with high ceilings, hardwood floors, intricate moldings, private baths and kitchens make us Denver's most alluring and comfortable bed and breakfast. From our eclectic Capitol Hill location visitors enjoy Denver's best sight-seeing, shopping, music, art, and nightlife all within minutes of our front door-the neighborhood described in the Jack Kerouac classic, On the Road. The Holiday Chalet enjoys the benefit of an exciting, high-energy central location within the vibrant heart of the city amid an eclectic mixture of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The creative spirit in our neighborhood appeals to artists, architects, designers, writers and musicians alike. However, enveloping warmth, charm, comfort, and security within the hotel also make The Holiday Chalet a convenient home away from home for business and leisure travelers alike. As a Bed and Breakfast we begin each morning in true style with a full, home-cooked breakfast served from 7:30 to 10:00 am. A variety of delicious homemade offerings are made fresh including Cowboy pancakes, crustless veggie or bacon quiche, French toast, eggs and bacon, fresh fruits, juice, tea, and premium coffee. ... more   less
