Elk Mountain Lodge is a very warm and lovely place to stay in Crested Butte. Even though we live here, we stayed for two nights and felt very comfortable. Breakfast choices are fantastic. There is something everyone will like. The lodge brings in the best coffee and baked goods from 'Mountain Oven' in town. The floors are creaky but it was...

We had a great time at Elk Mountain. We were able to get two rooms for very reasonable prices. The main area was great to hang out in after adventuring during the day. It is lovely; our host Tracy was very attentive and welcoming. Because it was the off season we had the place to our selves. The hot tub...

This place was great! We brought our dog Bronco and the staff welcomed him right in. I would have to say that Tracy is the coolest hostess ever. She was baking granola on Saturday and it made the entire lodge smell fantastic. She opened the bar for us and gave us great recommendations for the town. Tracy rocks! Alex was...

This lodge is owned and operated by "Real People"! I came in on Easter Sunday late afternoon --- had a reservation that I had made on the Internet. I thought I had made it on the Elk Mountain website, but the reservation confirmation didn't look quite right (I've stayed there several times). And, worse, the reservation wasn't in their system....

We travel a lot and this exceeded our expectations. Stayed at EML with my husband for 3 nights. The lodge is delightful and charming with lots of character. It is up to date and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The shuttles to the ski area are very convenient every 15 minutes. The main street with all the...

Very convenient location in town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wonderful living room and breakfast area. The room was clean and sufficient. Breakfast food was very good and plentiful. The bus stop is three blocks away and the buses to the mountain run every 15 minutes so there was absolutely no need for a car.

Okay, so first off let's set the record straight. I do not wrote shill reviews for anybody or any business, for any reason. Free beer included. Elk Mountain Lodge is the friendliest place to stay while in Crested Butte. Stay in the Mega Lodge joints if you want, but you are doing yourself a disservice. This lodge has: Clean rooms...

The Elk Mountain Lodge was clean, comfortable and quiet. It's a great location for experiencing the town of Crested Butte as well as an easy shuttle ride to the mountain for skiing. The shuttle stop is two blocks away as are great restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious and wonderful to wake up to every morning. We will definitely...

We enjoyed the great bar in this beautiful historic lodge. Excellent staff. Well managed. Worth a visit. The town is near Crested Butte, a fantastic ski resort that never seems to get too crowded. We found plenty to do every day we were here. We happened to hit an outstanding week of snow in January which made both downhill and...
