We initially chose Sweetwater because of its proximity to the Texas Creek off-highway vehicle trails. We found that it had a lot more to offer. The Arkansas River runs through the property and affords unsurpassed views and sounds. A perfect place to relax after a hard day on the trails. The owners make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Not as great as all the reviews:( We had planned on 4 people and ended up with 2 kids and 2 dogs extra one night so they made us rent a tent area because they said they would have to charge us $40 extra (ended up charging us $35 ). This part of the Arkansas river was filled with soot...

We found Sweetwater River Ranch to be a nice place to relax and unwind. It is small/cozy and the campers there were all pleasant and quiet. The problem that we encountered was the proximity to the Highway where there is a steady stream of traffic (car and semi trucks) all day and night. This is no fault of the owners,...

We love Sweetwater! We were just there this weekend for the second time and have had amazing experiences every time. The owners, Dave and Joanie are great people and you can tell they love their business. They go above and beyond and are very attentive. Dave always helps our group unload our canoes and even helps us prep them for...

Best to stay during the week as the weekends can be busy. All of the RV spots are just a few feet from the Arkansas River, and I mean a few feet away. Greeted by friendly owner, Dave. We stayed in RV Site 9 with full hook ups. Enjoyed the stay for two nights. If you enjoy just sitting back...

Last week my boyfriend and I were in Colorado and someone recommended to us the sweetwater River ranch and I'm so glad they did! It was peaceful and safe. Staying by the river was so nice and quiet. We absolutely loved it! Best part-clean showers, clean bathroom. Very kind people.

Two weeks ago we reserved an rv full hook-up site for two nights beginning this Friday. The Hayden Pass fire, not far from the area, started shortly after that. We waited a week, but the fire was still active and only a few miles from the campground. On Monday we called to cancel due to the fire and not wanting to...

Let me start by saying this place has a fabulous view of the river but that is the only nice thing I can say. The host at this park is terrible. He will come by every hour and micromanage every aspect of your stay. We arrived on a Sunday and was greeted by a wildfire that was several miles away....

Been here twice in the last couple of months. Each time a great experience. Perfect location, beautiful spot right by the river, and great hosts. The individual spots for rv's are really good, and provided a nice amount of shade. Facilities are clean. What more could you want!
