This is the worst hotel I have stayed at, even when I compare to some other poorer Asian or African countries. The rooms in Tower one are derelict at best. I have stayed here many times since 2014, even brining international clients here and creating business for the Widus. There is a noticeable change to room quality and staff attitude. Perhaps the good staff are moving to the new higher quality hotels nearby. Staff rude, unprofessional and non responsive to client/visitor needs. Staff should always remember the client pays your salary not the hotel so always be respectful, no matter the client (nose bleeds included). As one example of many No towel in my room after 3 call to reception/housekeeping I received my towels 3 hrs after initial request.
Our reservation had been made online and check-in was supposed to be at 2pm but we arrived at 3pm so we thought check-in was gonna be smooth. It was definitely not. We were informed that the rooms (we reserved 2) were still being cleaned and we had to wait for a total of more than 2 hours before we were finally checked in. After a more than 2-hour wait while the rooms were cleaned you would expect them to be spotless, but once more, we were disappointed. There was hair in one room's bathtub and the remnants of a shampoo sachet on the other. There was no trash can in one room. The housekeeping seemed to lack training and didn't seem to know how to respond to guests' queries (e.g. they didn't know what time breakfast was served). The hotel definitely needs to not only hire more housekeeping staff but also to train them to do their jobs more efficiently. Breakfast was okay but a bit underwhelming (for a 4-star hotel). The servers were very helpful and accommodating and this was the redeeming value of our stay. However, the hostess didn't provide an OR for the extra meals (for the kids), which we paid for, although I asked for it.…
Got the rooms at a good price and rooms were in good condition. Tower 2 so newer building. Rooms were clean and comfy, bathroom was a bit tight but manageable. Buffer food options were plenty and pool was good for kids. Only complaint really is the staff. No one showed us to our room. No one helped with baggage. Staff coordination was super slow and were not very helpful at all. Imagine no one showing you to your room after check in! Actually got a bit lost looking for the room.
Value for money. We are on our way to Baguio and decided to stop over to rest for a night. Since we are all tired, we appreciated the swift check in process. Pool is nice. Room is spacious and clean! Buffet breakfast is one of the big pluses - nice selections, tasty, and the staff there, very courteous and assisting most of the time, observant that they will ask you for a coffee refill when needed, water refill, remove used plates from table, check on you from time to time if you needed any; one of the best experience in customer service! Kudos to the resto staffs! :)
Stayed at a Deluxe Double Room for a night. Booked two separate rooms for my family and in-laws. Walls are thin and there is a door shared between yours and the adjacent room. We can HEAR EVERYTHING from the other room: - voices - flipping of light switches - foot steps - cabinet doors - faucets - and everything else Poor sound insulation in the front door! Again, we can HEAR EVERYTHING The staff is their saving grace: excellent!
It was a nice cozy hotel before, but now it changes. Maybe because they transfer the casino to Han. I requested for higher floor but they put us in the 1st floor and PWD/Disabled room,,I don't know why. keycards are also not working so we have to wait for the bellman to change it.I requested for room slippers because I only have heels shoes with me but they don't have. Carpets are a bit itchy. Widus changed. Other than that I would like to thank, Myka the FOA in duty that time for assisting us.
Widus' staff are A+ (Amazingly cheerful & warm)! Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and well-maintained furniture. Meals vary from day to day and chef must be great for preparing the balanced meals for who knows how many quarantining they serve! Though we were unable to explore, the balcony view gave us the feeling that we were not confined at all. A breathe of fresh air, view of lush greens made our stay quite relaxing at the same time productive for remote worker like me. I would only suggest dusting off the walls and cleaning the curtains. Overall, highly recommended and will surely visit again and explore their amenities when things get back to normal.
I had to stay during my quarantine time here and due to some delays into my schedule remained quite a lot of time here. Time enough to check and describe everything what makes me impression. What to say – I was accommodated at Tower 2, room is no so spectacular or fancy, but is quite enough well equipped to stay there, especially as I was solo traveler. Yes – it is a bit outdated and need some re-innovation. As you may see onto some of the pictures, but for that – a bit later. One very unpleasant thing is that walls are too thin and door’s insulation (if I may say it as this) is not good and you may hear well what your neighbor doing or the people which rooming into corridor. Really is not so nice around midnight to hear people “screaming” outside. About window/terrace – there no remarks, sufficient insulation. Room by itself as I said need a bit improvement, particularly at bathroom section as has stains from the water, mold (quite a lot in some areas), top shower was not working, knob seems was damaged. About room – when I enter I noticed the stains on the carpet close to armchair/table and by armchair itself! On the roof-top, just below A/C were visible stains and deformed paint. For each-respecting high ranking hotel it is good to pay attention on these points! Room is well equipped for normal stay – bed is enough big for single person, hard enough(as per my taste), pillows are Ok too. I had two sets of bedsheets/towels for exchanging by myself as no one is allowed into room due to quarantine regulation. Second bed in the room was not equipped at all. Room have armchair, table, movable chair and desk. This desk is quite dangerous due to “falling” power cables beneath! Yes, sockets are integrated inside, but connection were not so good and initially they worked, but seams I touched those cables by my legs and – nothing work anymore from there. Closest connection is about 2m away and is not so convenient, but is still manageable. TV I did not try to say how is, but seems to be OK. Internet connection is very good and this is what gives you a bit “freedom”. Room has standard equipment as kettle, fridge(was not working/or plugged) and hairdryer hidden into wardrobe, glasses and some sanitizing sets into bathroom. Bathroom as I mentioned above need really quite good and detailed cleaning. For me, and I believe for other people – design of the sink(and area) is quite uncomfortable as front part is quite beam, but tab is deep inside and is quite small – for example: I must bend a lot in order to brush my teeth as I am 191cm. Lighting is also not so bright inside! Door was so squeaky and need lubrication. Terrace was my place “to run” and to breath a bit fresh air, view was “stunning” – parking lot and nearby hotel! Terrace need same some improvement as the paint is falling down and one of the floor plate was moving as well. During quarantine – the food was the biggest problem as I am European and Filipino food which was given the first days was a bit nightmare for me(and my colleagues too) and Room service was our saving. Luckily after some discussing with Management and support from outside we had changes and we start ordering from the set menu – not so big, but at least something better … and most important if it available! Menu seams is a bit S.Korean orientated and this is adding additional problem for those who are not so suitable with Asian food style(as me for example). The biggest treasure as per me are the hotel’s staff – very polite, friendly and trying to smile all the time! In general lines, Hotel is good for spending quarantine time here. Maybe into other part where is swimming pool, casino and etc it is a bit different, but definitely at Tower 2 is average, slightly above average level.…
Hotel staff are very accomodating, food is so good and seems i gain weight while staying here for 4days... the room is so big for me as a solo. Loved the place. Dakal salamat. Mabuhay Pampanga. Till next time...
