We are unsure how this hotel is still up and running. It is poorly kept & very unclean. Housekeeping said there were clean sheets on the bed, but the sheets were so wrinkled. It’s unfortunate they advertise “nicer” looking rooms online. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
We checked in the hotel on Saturday for 2 nights, once you pull up to the front of the hotel it looks like a condemned apartment complex with abandoned vehicles in the parking lot. The room was dirty, there was hair all over the bathroom floor, used cups tucked into the clean ones. The room is outdated and smelled terrible. The hallways smelled like marijuana. There is no enforcement for the guests to wear masks. There was tons of shady characters walking about the halls knocking on doors. In addition to the poor locks on the door, we actually placed the desk chair against the door with hopes of keeping those wondering guests from opening the room door. It felt so unsafe that we asked the front desk 2 times to check us out of the hotel. Everytime we asked we were told no, and that they were not allowed to check guests out. I even called the Choice Hotel corporate number, they were also unhelpful. Once nighttime hit, the hotel got worse. The second floor guests were running down the halls and through there rooms throughout the night. When we peeked into the hall more shady characters appeared. Around Midnight we had enough and asked a final time to please check us out, they refused. We left immediately and as we were loading up our vehicle a man tried to approach my husband while his back was turned. We set off the car alarm and instead he circled around us. The next morning I called the corporate number again to get our money back. They informed me to called the hotel back to checkout and get our refund. The front desk clerk on duty checked us out and hung up the phone. If you have family or are traveling please for your safety do not stay here. Pay a little more and stay up the road.…
Overall, this place was unclean and poorly kept. The bed was sagging in the middle and looked like it had already been slept in, before the covers were pulled back up. Hair/filth on the floors. Lots of damage to the walls, furniture, doors. Exposed areas in light fixture. Clarice at the front desk was rude and unprofessional; as and did not attempt to fix the situation in any way. Instead, her shift was over, so ignored me standing at the counter until she left.
Door to room broken with 2in gap at bottom and door jam missing parts. How is that safe if there is a fire?! Wardrobe door broken and couldn't close. Holes and graffiti on bathroom walls. Poor patch jobs on walls throughout room. Broken coffee pot. Manager Jimmy Patel had no problem yelling at me and accusing me of lying for relaying to him issues with his night clerk. Mr. Patel even called 1 hour before we were to check out to ask us for a payment for the next night (we had already gold him we were checking out). We were in Colorado Springs for medical treatment at Children's Hospital as my son's O2 level would not allow him to be at the higher altitude where we have our home. We did not need the extra stress of such a disrespectful manager and disreputable place. The cleaning lady's were very friendly even though they couldn't speak a lick of English.…
