We stayed for 2 nights. We were upgraded to the cottages which were just fantastic. The bathroom had a heated floor and was one of the best hotel bathrooms I have ever seen.Staff was fantastic.Gorgeous location and magical after a fresh snowfall.Art in the hotel is wonderful.Restaurants were good and service byJamaican staff superb.Highlight of the food was eating breakfast in the main dining room with a table looking out on the lake.

I stayed at this hotel/resort for the CMCA Conference. I also stayed here the year before for the same conference. Both visits I had the same experience: perfection. This resort is historic yet beautifully maintained and immaculately clean. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The food and beverage is great (special "shout out" to the team at Julia's Cafe). However......what really makes the greatest impression upon any visit here is the phenomenal service. EVERY employee I encountered could not have been more friendly and helpful. Truly, world class service!

I have stayed at the Broadmoor a few times, mostly for business, but this was the first time I brought my family there. We purposefully upgraded to premium rooms to have the larger space and queen sized beds.. While the accommodations were nice, the food great and the grounds beautiful, we were surprised to find out upon arrival that the bridge was out for repair during the entire time of our stay. It became quite inconvenient (and sometimes cold) to be running back-and-forth around the lake for fitness classes, restaurants, pool, and other amenities that were only available on that side of the property. The restaurant in the West building was also closed during the week so even a cup of coffee, every meal or a snack required us to travel. The resort had its shuttles available, but even that got old and was not often on demand so by the time it finally came, we could have walked. I felt like we were constantly going back-and-forth such that even only after our first full day there we asked to be relocated to the main building. Unfortunately, we learned that only the west building had queen beds and we needed the space/larger sleeping accommodations so moving wasn’t an option. I understand upkeep and maintenance are necessary to keep the resort in top shape and that services or amenities may temporarily be shut down during repairs which is acceptable, but advance notice to guests would have been appreciated. We likely would have considered alternative accommodations elsewhere had we known. Notifying guests to allow a choice to accept the inconvenience or make other arrangements would have been a better approach.

I booked a suite in the Lakeside Building (Lakeside patio (2/17 & 18/21) to celebrate my husband's survival of recent cancer surgery. He was recuperating so I booked a suite close to Broadmore Main in order for my husband to have access to the many amenities at the Broadmore. I envisioned walking to breakfast, lounging in the bar area visiting and just enjoying the ambience of the Broadmoor. That did not happen as we were moved from the Lakeside to the cottages. When I arrived to check in, the woman at the registration desk announced that she had good news for me as we were being upgraded but I would have to wait a bit as the larger suite wasn't quite ready. After about 2 hours of waiting, my husband was wilting so I approached the registration desk again and complained. I said that I didn't know what the problem was with my original booking but I needed to get my husband checked in. We were then shuttled to the cottages, a long haul from the Broadmoor Main. My husband only left the cottage for our evening meal. The cottage indeed was large and well appointed but a cold breeze blew in from under the main door and thus had us huddled by the fireplace in our coats! This was such an upsetting experience that I just wanted to get home to the comforts of my own home. I confess that I didn't call at the time and complain but I was trying to make the best of a bad situation and in reality I didn't succeed.
