We have stayed here many times. We like it because of the atrium, pool, free breakfast and restaurant/bar. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice beds, great housekeepers. This time, we received incorrect information from the front desk regarding the times the restaurant was open at night and it was disappointing to find out we couldn't have dinner. We also had a pretty bad experience with ONE of the front desk staff members. He was rude and even hung up on me when I called with 2 questions. Apparently he was done after the 1st one. The pool could use resurfacing, the lobby carpet (hallways to the rooms) is pretty bad. Just needs some TLC. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant the 1st night and the modified breakfast due to COVID was just fine. All in all, I would stay here again. I do like the atmosphere and the staff (almost always). The room price with the breakfast and coupons for the restaurant are great. We enjoy the pool with the kids and the gym. The 3 stars, well it is not a fancy high cost hotel. We enjoy our stay but the hotel is a little worn. Also the front desk should be giving out the correct information regarding the restaurant times.…
I had to stop in Colorado Springs for work and the weather quickly turned for the worse. I was lucky that the Academy Hotel had a room available, it turned out to be a great unexspected stay. The room was clean, the people were friendly, and I had a great mountain view. A great plus was they had a bar in the Hotel so I didnt have to worry about driving. Great room, great food, great drink! Thank you I'll be back
They have assembled a wonderful team! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Willing to go out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. the lobby area with the warm and inviting fireplace is a great spot to end the day. Breakfast was great as well as the service. We have stayed several times over the last 2 years and will continue to make it our go to in the Springs area
The place is dated and needs some updating. The service guys when checking in are pretty nice and the breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't meet anyone there I didn't like. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean and decent. We just needed a bed to sleep and a shower to
They doubled our price because of our age and gave us a smaller room. Our door also quit working, they said it would be fixed when we returned. It was not fixed and we were locked out of our room for about four hours. Tried to talk to the manager about the price and our troubles and all she did was give 10% back. We will not use Academy Hotel again.
