Nicki at the front desk was extremely helpful!! Walked the property and made sure no issues. She also informed us of the surrounding area with places to eat and shop and hours of operation. She was so friendly and always had a smile on her face. I just wanted to pack her in my bag and take her with me

I was in Colorado Springs on a quick business trip. I usually stay in premium branded hotels (i.e. Hilton, Holiday Inn), but decided to give the newly renovated Motel 6 / Studio 6 near the Air Force Academy a shot. I stayed in a King room on the 4th floor (#419), which is considered larger than the average room size for Motel 6. The room overlooked Pikes Peak with a breathtaking morning and evening view. The room came with a full size patio and (2) chairs and was near an exit, but remained exceptionally quiet during key times (early AM and late night). What Stood Out: - The housekeeping team ensured my room was immaculate and the front desk was extremely friendly. I really appreciated the special note from Debra at the front desk that said “enjoy your stay” with a smiley face. This was a welcomed sight after a long flight and the first thing I saw as I opened the little card that held my room keys upon arrival at my room. - The room was comfortable in every way...the bedding, the towels, the lightning, the television, the heater/AC. For a Motel 6, I was impressed with minor details (like the fancy fold on my toilet paper roll). The WiFi was super super fast and I was able to conduct several video calls without any issue. - The general ambience of the hotel was peaceful. I regularly noticed staff engaging customers in a friendly demeanor and could see the smiles, even through their masks. - I was treated with pleasantries every single time I encountered staff, whether it be the housekeeper in the elevator, or the front desk agent as I walked through the lobby. - The value for what you get is ridiculous...you cannot go wrong staying here for those quick business trips and saving a dollar while you’re at it. - I felt safe at the property and I also observed staff regularly wearing masks and noted several occasions where staff politely asked customers do to the same. - The overall standard of the hotel and exceptional service puts this place on the map and a place to consider for a stay. The staff service was second to none. I will certainly be staying here again and will never shy away from another Motel 6 again. I am happy to share additional details of my stay if you contact me directly. I stayed at the hotel from September 28-30, 2020.

We were here visiting family. This hotel was about the cheapest, which is why we picked it, as this was a spur of the moment trip. The room was clean and comfortable. They are not serving breakfast due to the pandemic. No other accommodations for breakfast were made, however, there is a fridge in the room and snack machines in the lobby. Also several restaurants (McDonald's, Cracker Barrel and others) with in walking distance. When we arrived, the women at the desk was wearing a mask, but most of the time during our 6 day stay, most of the staff were not wearing masks. Our room was checked every other day to empty trash and deliver fresh towels. The beds were not made up or other cleaning done, but these are precautions due to the pandemic and we were just as happy to not have additional people in and out of the room. The smoking area is outside the front door and to the side, but often there would be people just outside the door smoking. Most mornings, there seemed to be a staff meeting just outside the door, so one was forced to walk through the group of people without masks and actively smoking to get to your car. I was happy enough for the price, the room was clean and comfortable and easy access to the things I was in The Springs to do. If the staff was more dedicated to mask wearing, I would have given them another star. Our room was nonsmoking, but when there are smoking rooms in the same building, it is not really nonsmoking, the room was not very fresh smelling.

Dog poo EVERYWHERE! No salt put out on icy walkways. Property has icy hills also. Abandoned cars, rv's and homeless on and surrounding the property. Mgr "BRAD" will pull anything...Tried to make me back pay for my service dog. I showed him the service dog cert and he said he didn't care about the law and called the police. MGR "Rex" is also involved and will be named in a lawsuit with Brad and owners et al...Rex and Brad are the reason the police are there 24/7. They're drugys and rent the north side rooms to dealers only. Users stay throughout the motel.
