I love this location, the property, the setting, the amenities of the resort. But the rooms are tired. The bed is great...mainly the bathroom that needs help. Lighting is horrible and bathroom is a bit run down. Wouldn't take a lot to freshen the place up. For the cost, you could get better rooms for less. Also, the room temperature was hard to regulate.

I don't often write reviews-- Just want others to know that the lake is not at all like the photos. It is water that you would not feel comfortable swimming in. Also, no stand up paddle boards as advertised on the site. The restaurant service was fair. Had to request our drink order a few times. Queso, etc. served luke warm. The tennis facility is really nice. The pool at the lake needs repair. Not an area that I wanted to spend time. The resort pool is where we spent the most time. Thank goodness for it or I would've rated our stay a 1. Only cable TV in the rooms? No on-demand movies. Ridiculous they don't have this amenity for the price. Resort pool snack bar opened at 2pm on Friday. Why so late? The gift shop/coffee bar was unattended when we wanted to go. Overall, NOT worth it for the money. Next time I'll save more and book the Broadmoor.

I was supposed to stay several nights, but checked out early due to the very poor condition of room. Bathroom paint was bubbling and peeling due to excessive moisture/poor ventilation. (and this is in CO which is really dry!) Would not be surprised if there were mold growing in there. Bathroom door hit the toilet. Liquid on the floor of the entry way when we checked in. Beds were too soft and lumpy. Stains on the carpet and walls. And there was some sort of white dried goo on the desk chair... Ick. Went to stay somewhere else after one night. Condition of property is definitely in need of remodeling and better upkeep. Maybe you could expect this at a $75 a night motel, but Wyndham should definitely not be charging $300 a night for this.

Our stay was okay. Housekeeping was great! Website is very misleading. They make it look like this is a huge resort with all these amenities when really it is a hotel with access to the adjoining Colorado Country Club! The beach and 3 of the pools…all country club and only open until 8pm! Snack bar and one of the restaurants only open on the weekends so no help to us staying Monday-Friday! General store..totally understaffed every day. Waited 30 minutes in line for a coffee! One person taking orders and making all of them! Location was good and close to a lot of attractions. Rooms were clean. Have small refrigerators…no microwave which was a bummer if we had leftovers. Only one hot tub available to all guests…very small. Pool at main hotel got pretty buggy by the end of the week…my 10 year old tried to clean it!

With the various pet fees, resort fees and high-rent rooms, this should be a top-notch place. Instead carpets were stained, food was on the floor when I arrived at the room, air conditioner not fully attached to wall, broken steps outside, sprinklers that went 6 days without stopping, sagging mattress, cabinet doors don't stay closed, etc., this is not a place I will ever stay at again. Very poor quality of service and cleanliness.
