The hotel is in a perfect location in downtown Colorado Springs. There are many breweries and restaurants within walking distance. We went mountain biking twice and the bike shop was within 10 minutes and the trails are amazing! Rooms are extra clean and the staff is genuinely happy to help in any way.
We enjoyed our stay at The Mining Exchange. The room could have been a little cleaner, dust everywhere and the room needed more light. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was great! It was in a perfect location downtown and walkable to many restaurants. Overall, we were very satisfied with the Mining Exchange and would stay there again.
2 things I wish I knew before I booked: 1. Valet parking is the only option. Otherwise you must use meters that expire every 2 hours. 2. Although pet friendly, there is no ‘green space’. There is a park 2.5 blocks away but it is a homeless encampment.
Our room was beautiful, high ceilings and nice bathroom layout. The coffee bar had a Kuerig machine with an assortment of flavors. Very comfortable room and bed. Lindsey, our valet lady and bellhop was friendly and very helpful.
We have used the Mining Exchange as our go to hotel in Colorado Springs for several years now. It's location is what makes it our favorite place to stay while visiting family in Colorado Springs. We don't need to rent a car and can easily walk to many great restaurants and shops and our family members live just a short drive away in the Old North End district. We had a wonderful front desk manager (Lindsey) who gave us several ideas of where to eat after a late arrival. The Rabbit Hole was a few blocks away and was a winner! While the housekeeping staff is not doing daily cleaning, they are very responsive to requests for additional items such as fresh towels and toiletries. We'll be back.
