This RV park is one of the nicest I have stayed in, the people are very helpful, the bathrooms spotless, and the grounds very well maintained. There is some road noise but nothing that disturbed us. On the last night of our stay they set off fire works which scared our dog, I wish they had told us in advance...

We have been coming to this park for over the past 5 years now. It is a outstanding park. The park is always well maintained and the owners are always improving the park. It is the easiest park to maneuver around even with a 45 foot Prevost bus with a tow car from Durango to Pagosa Springs. The spaces are...

We have been at this park almost a week, and I hate to leave. It has all the services we need and is truly beautiful. There are flowers everywhere as well as bird feeders. When walking by the owner's house, you will see lots of hummingbirds. I have never seen so many hummingbirds in one place! If you have a...

Having traveled in the Southwestern US in previous years, we were not prepared for the tremendous increase in the number of recreational vehicles on the road in July 2016, consequently we had not made advanced (one month) reservations at campgrounds in the area we were traveling. When we made contact with Riverside RV Park, they explained that they could accommodate...

The park is clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful in trying to keep their park full. The sites were very tight and seemed to have a bunch of long term Rv. Gravel sites with some grass in areas. Some sites did have grass but looked like emergency spots to make more money because the entire area was grass...

Beautiful RV resort with a flowing river that you could fish in and enjoy. They have a lama and a yak. The lama was friendly but do not get your fur baby by the yak. He does not like dogs. The people at the park were so friendly and almost everyone had a dog. The staff was very accommodating. We...

We just left the park this morning and I have to say it was a great stop! I made a point to stop and visit with Mack, the owner of the park as we pulled out. I made sure that he knew that we appreciated what he's doing. He was on site and actively managing the place. There were a...

Very nice staff. Beautiful grounds, lovely flowers. Nice site next to a babbling creek. Fishing allowed....catch and release only. Sites aren't huge but adequate with the amount of trails and property you have access to. Restrooms and laundry small but immaculate. About 15 minutes outside of Durango. Would definitely come again.

First, the people that own and operate this campground are wonderful! We had to have repairs done to our truck and they went out of their way to help us. Second, the care and effort taken to make this campground special are evident everywhere. There are fun trails and fishing streams & ponds. The abundance of flowers and bird feeders...

So the Internet is spotty at best if your lucky. Very slow poor comnections. Showers are Luke warm at best. Spend 15 to 20 minutes getting it to be even moderately warm. Drunk idiots in park who have no respect for others. A lot of full time campers there. Parking for more than 1 vehicle sucks. No campfires allowed. Granted...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bayfield Riverside RV Park is a beautiful, lush 36-acre RV park on the Pine River between Durango and Pagosa Springs on U.S. Hwy 160. Refresh from your travels as you explore the park, following paths along the creeks and though our meadows. Our park offers over 100 sites ranging from full-service RV sites along the water (with free cable TV & Wi-Fi), to quiet, grassy meadows for tent camping. Our bathrooms and coin laundry are always open and clean. We love pets and they are welcome in our park but you must clean up after them. Our park feels secluded but it's only a half mile to Bayfield, which offers restaurants, quaint shops, grocery stores, a micro-brewery, and a state of the art library. A short 14 mile drive and you will be in downtown Durango with its abundance of shops and restaurants. You can spend your days fishing our ponds and streams or exploring the many attractions of Southwest Colorado. Bayfield is located at 6,800' in elevation, so our days are warm and the evenings are cool. Experience three beautiful seasons with more than 300 days of blue skies and sunshine! ... more   less

“You can ask for sites farther away from the road. We liked ours because of the beautiful river rushing by our grassy, shady site.”

“It's an RV park, so any of the spaces would be nice to park your RV. If you have a motorhome, then you might want the outer row.”

“I would stay near the stream since it was nice little walk across the bridge to the community restrooms, and it was pretty well lit.”
