I recently booked a room through a 3rd party provider for a 1 night stay with a king bed. I was informed they wouldn't accommodate a 3rd party reservation. Don't book here if you're expecting excellent service or even a nice décor for the price....More

No, it's not easily accessible to major attractions. This is Whittier, CA OUTSIDE LA, not within the city limits. It's more like being in a small town even though you're in a big place. You need your own transportation. I believe there is bus service, but we had a rental car. Traffic is MAJOR so unless you want to sit in it on a bus and transfer your way all through LA and waste time sitting in traffic, I'd suggest you rent a car yourself as well.
If by "kettle" you mean a traditional and actual "kettle" the answer is no. The room has the standard small coffee maker with coffee packets, a couple tea packets, a few sugar packets. However, your coffee only remains hot for a short period of time and there's no way to re-heat it.
