I had lunch at the Terrace and i felt like a Hollywood-Star. My colleague ordered the Tower Burger, while i ordered their Caesar Salad. The service and food were excellent! Our waiter's name was Angel, and he was so wonderful and so professional. I already ate at several places in West Hollywood but this is THE BEST! Even though he...

It's hard to describe the emotional trauma one experiences, when unexpectedly witnessing a once-loved Hollywood legend in a state of all-too human frailty. Faye Dunaway, wig-less, counting out coupons in the line at Gelson's, for example - or Clint Eastwood trying to adjust his underwear in a public restroom. It's like a punch in the stomach. A rude shove back...

I agree with all the other Sunset Tower enthusiasts. A beautiful Deco tower, dripping in Hollywood history, handsomely renovated, with magnificent views of all of Los Angeles from many of the rooms and Terrace restaurant. Basic rooms are not large, but comfortable and tasteful. Bathrooms generously sized, quality products (Kiehl's). Good beds, fine sheets. Beautiful monogrammed china, fine linens, and...

I am a frequent visitor of Tower bar in the evenings as well as daytime hours- to the tune of at least 3-4 each of dinners/breakfasts/etc. per month. While I love the hotel and restaurant (and Dimitri is a marvel and always so gracious) I must say I was disappointed in my overall experience early last week for dinner and...

I have stayed in the Sunset Tower Hotel for a business trip and was equally surprised and happy with the standard of the hotel. The style has this very typical Hollywood vintage style, yet is modern and luxurious in its commodities. The rooms are cozy and generous, very comfortable beds. The hotel has a lovey terrace restaurant with direct access...

My husband and I recently booked our first trip to the Sunset Tower. We don't mind spending more for a great hotel if it's worth it. It's obviously an iconic hotel with a lot of history in West Hollywood. We stayed for three nights before setting off to Palm Springs. A few positives ; it's a beautifully restored hotel, our...

The best way to describe the Sunset Tower is that it's a hotel open to the public, yet every time my wife and I visit it feels like a private club where we are treated as returning members. At the front desk, Michael welcomes you by name. At breakfast, Barbara and Angel bring a bright smile and quick service. The...

Very nice hotel. Staff was helpful I chose this hotel because it is one of the few near Hollywood that don't use a bunch of fragrance. They are currently remodeling. The first room they gave me was lovely, but recently refurbished and I couldn't stand the carpet fumes. They moved me to a different room with a weird wooden box...

Love this hotel. Love the service. Love the beds. Stayed here several times. Even though I got a small room this time the beds are so comfy. The staff is professional and nice. Location is good. Like this hotel.

It's a beautiful building and the restaurant is beautiful. We must have been lucky on our last two visits because we had beautiful rooms. This time we are in 1403 and it's not up to standard. It's floor plan is compromised by its position, its two rooms but both are cramped. It's hard to tell but I don't think the hotel...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
