Great hotel, feels like a tranquil oasis in the middle of this busy city. Location is as good as it can be in the sprawl of LA. The standard rooms are nice but if you can stretch the budget a bit opt for a poolside suite which are amazing. The pool and bar areas are the real reason to choose...

Wow what a gem. Rarely do you find a place where you feel the history of Hollywood without the attitude. The staff are super friendly and the whole place feels welcoming without the pretension one might expect from such an iconic venue. I was most impressed by the beds. Felt like i was lying on clouds.. With a lovely range...

Great hotel with perfect location in West Hollywood. My wife and I stayed there from April 4th to the 7th. The hotel is well maintained and the staff's attention to detail was impeccable. Only complaint was our room was just outside the elevator, so we were disturbed nightly by returning guests who obviously had too much to drink. Can't blame...

What an amazing hotel tucked away on a quiet street just off Sunset Blvd. lots of amazing rock and roll history and there's even a 50 year celebration book just published in the room to prove it! We liked the fact we had to sign a disclaimer that we wouldn't party and trash the room!!(really) the bedroom was wonderful with...

I had a mini holiday staycation at the Sunset Marquis while my house was being renovated. I live in the neighborhood and always have enjoyed the restaurant and bar, but this was the first time I stayed in the hotel. The SM lived up to expectations - private and lovely without any pretension. The hotel is pet friendly (small dogs...

Stayed here to visit with my best friend in West Hollywood. Stayed in a villa and it was stunning. The bathroom was something only one could dream of. The toiletries were Aveda and that is 'my brand' The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The only downfall of this property (not really a downfall.) But, it was kind of hard to find,...

UNIQUE, FUN, ROCK'N-ROLL, POOL, BAR, SPA, FOOD, LOCATION, STAFF everything is PERFECT! I have been staying at the Sunset Marquis, since 1985, sometimes for work, sometimes on vacation, every single stay was perfect. I feel like home, the service is outstanding, my kids love it and when I am on photography assignment nothing has ever been impossible.

There was nothing very positive with this hotel. Yes it was good location but only if you have car. Rooms are updated but i am afraid still need more work. I didn't like bathroom amenities. Who wants mint shampoo?? And if you feel cold they bring you small portable heaters!!!( are we in 21st century??) Hotel corridors and some of...

If you're going to L.A., the choices for hotels is endless. I chose the Sunset Marquis because of the location, and because I didn't want to stay at a hotel filled with young, twentysomething tourists that would wake me up at 3am each morning when they came home loud & drunk. I got what I wanted, and then some. The...

We Have stayed here several times in the last year. It is such a cool place you feel famous just walking into the lobby. The outdoor areas including the restaurant are so beautiful and relaxing. You can not tell you are in the middle of a huge city. The beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms are decorated with style and...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
