Wow!! After 2547 miles travelling Route 66 (which was awesome!) we stayed here for 3 wonderful nights! The hotel is situated in a fab spot just off Sunset Bvld which made for getting to great restaurants and shops easy. Also a quick taxi to Hollywood Bvld which opens up all touristy stuff to do. Our room was huge, clean, very...

What a great stay my wife and I had at Sunset Marquis. Our guest suite was quiet, very spacious and nicely furnished. We loved the rock memorabilia lined walls. The bed was super comfortable and the restaurant and bar are the best in town! The staff was very attentive and the grounds were superbly manicured. We would highly recommend Sunset...

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our American holiday and we loved it! Upon arrival check-in was quick and easy. We literally dumped our bags and headed straight to the restaurant... (more for the bar really) ;-) After a long coach trip from Coachella we were in desperate need of some good food...

We had a great stay at this West Hollywood location ,. There are two pools on the property set in beautiful gardens. The pool lounges are very comfortable and never crowded while we were there. The rooms are spacious & the bathroom had a huge rainfall shower. On the downside the mini bar has blue lights and despite being in a...

Overall we had a great stay in West Hollywood at the Sunset Marquis. Great, multi-pool property, with an exclusive oasis feel in the middle of a bunch of buildings (i.e. LA). I took off a star for luke-warm reception at the check-in desk, a daily WiFi fee (which nowadays should always be "free") and very loud AC unit that kicks...

I stayed here on business in May 2014 and it has become one of my favourite hotels ever. Great clean, modern feel to it. Has a boutique, friendly vibe to it as well as a rock and roll edge with the artwork and gallery. The bed in my room was one of the comfiest i've ever slept in (including my...

Excellent boutique hotel. Excellent service. Great environment, friendly staff. We recommend the pool level rooms. The restaurant is highly recommended for breakfast lunch and dinner. Concierge service is greatand personalized. The only comment is on the wifi where you have to purchase a data package per device per room. Its not the $12 a day per device but more why...

Hotel was not a 4.5 star! It came close to a 4 star. The valet and Wi-Fi rates were ridiculous. The location is great, service is good. The rooms were old with a musky odor. Overpriced. However, the bed was extremely comfortable.

An amazing hotel. So much character and a choice of pools. First time I've ever had a bed more comfortable than mine at home. Really enjoyed Sunday brunch. Perfect location particularly if you want to take in live music on the strip. Anyone who loves rock music shouldn't stay anywhere else in LA - you should see the photos and...

Great hotel, feels like a tranquil oasis in the middle of this busy city. Location is as good as it can be in the sprawl of LA. The standard rooms are nice but if you can stretch the budget a bit opt for a poolside suite which are amazing. The pool and bar areas are the real reason to choose...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
