The Sunset Marquis is an amazing, first-class experience! We stayed in a lovely villa, so quiet and private. The restaurant is perfectly sized with outdoor seating and a varied menu from indulgent to healthy, fairly priced wine options and delish cocktails. Brigitte at Front Desk was incredibly hospitable and accommodating, making us feel like rock stars ourselves. It's discreet, sexy...

Secluded retreat, classy, and service at its finest. Beautiful room and wonderful service. Hotel grounds are beautiful. Room was a junior suite. Very contemporary and modern decor. One of the finest hotels of this area which I highly recommend.

We chose the Sunset Marquis after visiting for cocktails during a previous stay at the nearby Chamberlain. In comparing the two, I would choose the Sunset Marquis, particularly for its well-landscaped gardens and the two pools. Our room was large, clean and tastefully decorated. Bed was super comfy and helped us to recover from the dreaded jetlag. Service at the...

What a awesome hotel this is. We booked at the last minute as I was suppose to be in Texas. Didn't know any history of the place and just wanted a good location. We arrived on the Friday and first impressions were very good. An attractive hotel just off Sunset Boulevard. Was greeted and checked into a Villa. What an...

We booked the Sunset Marquis because it sounded as if it had an interesting history and it looked like a good base for a two day trip to LA. The location is great, just around the corner from the strip and within walking distance of the Hollywood sights and sounds. The hotel is proud of its rock n roll history...

Service has improved greatly since my last trip. The first room was not acceptable and Jaimee at the front desk moved me to a great room. The staff at the pool, restaurant and bar 1200 are all exceptional. If you're looking for a quiet hotel in the middle of the madness, this is the place.

Good points: 2 free drinks tickets upon arrival. This place was nice, decorum was nice and staff were nice though i suspect that was due to the want of tips. A small mixup at check in put us in the wrong room but the girl was very gracious, explained, and provided us with a couple more drinks tickets as apology....

We have stayed at several hotels in the area over the years and have skipped this one mostly because we felt it did not match our taste. Although this is not an ideal hotel for us, we did enjoy our time at this legendary property. We stayed in a junior suite which was a spacious room with a sliding glass...

This hotel is great. It is in a quiet street but a stroll to SM Blvd. Great staff , two nice pools, the rooms are a good size and nice and clean with great bathrooms and we had a really comfy king size bed. Great photography everywhere and the restaurant serves great food and has a lovely wine list. Loved...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
