We stayed at this hostel for 5 nights in a six bedroom dorm as part of a 6 month around the world trip. The USA was our last country and so we had to find accommodation on a budget! The location of this hostel was great, you could walk to many of the Hollywood attractions and there was also a bus stop outside to take you further afield! However, I didn't always feel safe when walking back to the hostel at night, but maybe this is just what you get in LA! The bathrooms in the room were spacious and clean. The room itself was hot, but we were in LA in August so I guess this is to be expected. There was a large fan but it was quite noisy. There are Mac's readily available for guests' use which was great for us to plan the rest of our trip. There was also a free breakfast although this was very basic. (Tea, toast, jam, cereal). If you are planning to go to Disneyland California from this hostel you may want to arrange transfers in advance. We attempted to go via public transport however it was an extremely long journey, we ended up taking an uber and then a bus. If you need somewhere to stay in LA on a budget then this is a good option even if it is not the nicest looking place!

I stayed 8 days in a private room. Room is big and very clean. There's a microwave and fridge. Some soaps and shampoos, towels and toilet paper. There's no hair dryer tho! Theres no access to balcony for some reasons. In the night is super noisy. People are disrespectful af. During the day theres no way to sleep. Cleaning spanish women are loud af. Theres door slamming all day and all night and people shouting and laughing. Reception guys are too quick for check in (they didn't even tell me I needed a code to get in) they had no answerws to any of my questions and theyre all Americans living in Los Angeles. Breakfast in the morning is toast, cream cheese, jam, nutella and peanut butter. Some cereals, coffee (very bad), tea and milk. They organize trips to Santa Monica, Disneyland, Hollywood sign... but it's just a drop off. And they're not happy if they have to call a shuttle just for a person. It's ok. I'd come back just for cleanliness.

Did the job, good value, central, walkable to a lot of places. Bathroom was a little dirty, beds very squeaky. Found some weed down the side of the mattress which was fun. The group events are ace, organized for us all to have pre-drinks, go to one of the best clubs, free entry, free cars! Ace. Bring a lock.

Fantastic location right in the beating heart of West Hollywood. Fairfax has a flea market on a fairly regular basis too which is directly opposite the front door. When I was staying (July 2018) I came here for a week or so and there was quite a lot of drama with a heroin dealer staying in the hostel and threatening people with a knife in the kitchen. In the short time I stayed I saw him handcuffed on at-least 3 separate occasions. There is a vending machine for cold drinks and padlocks for lockers. They should put CCTV in the bag storage room as it's an advertisement for thieves currently.

Great location from this hostel! There was a bus stop 5 minute walk from there and we could get to all the main attractions from there easily. The bathrooms were also good, clean and one per room. The lockers werent huge but big enough for all your valuables. They offered free drop offs too which was fun and some evenings had cooked dinners which we could have and they were delicious! Hostel felt safe and secure and the staff were friendly! Stayed for about 5 days and it was enjoyable. Quite expensive but for LA i think it was ok.
