I loved absolutely everything about this hotel. I stayed only one night and will be returning for a longer stay. The history is incredible. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The location is central. Very glamourous but low key. As soon as I got to my room, I just wanted to relax in the vibe. Usually I drop off...

it was a first time going there and did not know that I had to make reservation. was treated very poorly and I am very disappointed will never go there again there are many places that will treat you with respect and show you good time. don't even bother asking for a manager because he's worse than whole staff.if you...

Spent three nights here in March. Very much like a grand old home that's seen several generations of family. A little frayed at some of the edges, but comfortable and welcoming. There's a sense of permanence, not of fashionable trend-following. One has a sense that you can't surprise the people here because they've been here a long time, have seen...

beautiful glamorous old hollywood hotel nestled in the hill right off Sunset Blvd. just wonderful - filled with old world charm & history. It is private and secluded. The pool is perfect. The staff is very accommodating. The food and drinks are priced a little high, but expected. The hotel is worn, so do not expect updated luxury. The luxury...

Crowded, pretentious, and a staff with an awful attitude. If you want to be surrounded by people trying to get noticed, then this is your place. However, I do love the history, and architecture of the building, but that's it. The building and the grounds are beautiful. It was fashioned after the Château at Amboise is a château located in...

It's one of those places I felt I had to visit... It will only be once though! At $1000 a night the room was grubby. At 9 pm there is a parade on sunset boulevard that is so loud the entire building vibrates. I complained, stating I had paid over the odds for one of the best rooms, nothing was...

The hotel is beautiful as is the staff and the majority of guests, but there is a specific entertainment-boozy way this hotel is meant to be enjoyed. The food is only good, the attractive staff is often too distracted to be doing their jobs, and the beautiful guests will keep you up all night unless you're in a cottage with...

I've stayed here a couple of times in the last six months. I don't live in the L.A. area anymore, but simply love the memories evoked by the way the hotel has taken great pains to keep the hotel (I stay on the cottage side) the way I remember my childhood. There are well landscaped brick paths, fish ponds, lots...

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here for three nights - it was a "bucket list" visit for him. It is very much a place of charming, old Hollywood glamour from a bygone era - don't expect sparkling, new or modern! We paid for an upgraded bedroom and it was worth it. The room had a very retro...

Didn't stay at the hotel. We had drinks and appetizers at the bar to people watch. It was luxurious. The live piano player and stories of rock stars and celebs had my starstruck self wide eyed. Didn't see anyone, but the paparazzi were out front. They are very sensitive to the privacy of their clientele – no photos allowed!
