We had breakfast at a lovely patio here. Best pancakes I ever had! The hotel looks nothing like I imagined, it's very dark inside and unimpressive. Service was mediocre, nobody said goodbye or thank you to us when we left. A lady told me loudly...More
We couldn't afford to stay overnight at this historical establishment, so we decided to splurge on a diner here instead. Tables are reserved for guests of the hotel, however they open up bookings for outsiders - email a week or two before you want to...More
We had brunch outside in the courtyard garden and it was lovely. I was expecting staff to be a little aloof but they were all friendly and attentive. It wasn’t very busy and so we had a relaxing time sitting in the pretty outside area....More
I have been staying at Andre Balazs properties for the last 10 years. I rented one of the most expensive bungalows on the property. The worst experience of my life. It’s like they didn’t even know I existed.

It wasn’t being renovated when I was there last month, but may well be, perhaps give them a call
The lobby is behind bar / lounge so if celebs are not in bar you can watch lobby from a comfy chair with drink in hand! Enjoy !

Stop in and certainly have a drink or better yet, breakfast or lunch. Have dinner around 7Pm and linger in the lobby lounge. Be mindful of the code of the Chateau, there is no photography permitted in the restaurant or lounge or lobby area. Doing so will give you stern looks and possibly a request to leave, plus it will identify you as "not belonging" or as an outsider to the culture. Once you are within the confines of Chateau Marmont, you DO belong because you ARE there. Act like it and blend. Be cool, no gawking or gushing. And for goodness sakes, do NOT approach anyone you might think is a star, celebrity or VIP. Remember yourself. Soak in the ambiance and the history and savor it.
