This place was terrific as a 60ish 70ish mecca for gay men. Then developers crashed in turning it upscale & overpriced. The place is basic bungalows. Furniture, paint, factory-made art will not turn a charming Bohemian locale which was semi-secret into the Beverly Hills Hotel. The facilities were primitive cabins once used by early filmmakers. Then it was turned into...

SAN Vicente is a retro, idyllic and cute hotel pretty close to everything in LA. Good pricing, clean swimming pool and ok wifi. Most guest were partying and drinking by the pool and walking into each other's rooms. Wouldn't recommend this hotel for people that want a quiet stay.

I won't go on and on, as I think the place is closing soon. To be gutted and remodeled? West Hollywood is a good location; I was using LA's medical centers. Am told that the price is good for this area. The staff -- Ashwaque, Maruf, Jeff, Jacinto, and Sean - are helpful and friendly. Miguel and the maids do...

I will never go to the San Vicente bungalows again , my last experience here was down right irritating , the hot water in my shower did not work , the staff was extremely rude , the rooms were shabby to say the least , the place has charm , but it is managed by complete incompetence , the staff...

Stayed here for a few days in October with my boyfriend. Our entire stay was absolutely fabulous and small green branch was awesome. We bounced around the Los Angeles area for a week and this was our favorite hotel because of the location! We had an amazing Superior king room, Maruf took care of checking me in, and he was...

We stayed here while working a bit in LA, and it was a great experience. It's hidden away but super easy walking distance to West Hollywood. I'd say it is probably best for younger travelers... we liked it but our parents probably would not! They had a nice continental breakfast at the pool area, and our room was remodeled nicely....

Pretty great location but the beds are extremely soft if you prefer firm. You pay 20 per day resort fee yet the pool isn't heated. This to me is unacceptable. Clothing optional, gay resort, unheated pool? Staff is relatively friendly and the accommodations are so so. Saving grace is the location. I do believe renovations are taking place in November.

I like West Hollywood, there are lots of people walking around going to bars and restaurants. I didn't feel uncomfortable in the area, but my hotel just was not up to par. When I travel for business I basically live in my room for a week and need some basic essentials. They do not offer a refrigerator, microwave, iron or...

Creepy and disgusting. Dirty, bugs and did I say disgusting already? Felt like a horror movie. Beds were dirty, bathroom- shared!?- and gross. No way could I stay the night, let alone think about sleeping here. Checked in, turned around and left. DON'T DO IT.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
