Very good Sunday lunch with family & friends who live nearby. Lovely village with pub right next to historic church. Pub looks like it was recently refurbished. Staff very attentive. Beer (B&B I think?) good and great roast beef, served pink as it should be with lots of properly cooked veg. Potato purée particularly good. Would recommend.

Stayed saturday night with our dog and this was a welcome stay and very nice breakfast. The proprietor, his wife and daughter ran a very friendly service. Breakfast was a great welsh breakfast with traditional local meats. I left my ipad charger behind by accident and the proprietor very kindly posted it back to me - how brilliant is this?...

Lovely location, excellent accommodation with good quality rooms, facilities and excellent food at normal prices. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Comfy bed, and powerful shower. Was staying for work, but would have been nice to have some time to explore the village and surrounding area more.

Initially booked this place as it allowed us to bring out dog. Having said that, the place wasn't overrun with dogs and they are not allowed in the restaurant, only in the bar- I think this is a very good compromise. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The pub decor is traditional without being twee. Our room was...

Visited for Sunday lunch, new landlord, didn't see him. Food was very good. Nice starter although only one portion of soup left! Not a great problem really. Main course of traditional lunch was also very good. Deserts offered were really nice but again not enough apple and pear crumble to offer us and no extra custard available. Portion control not...

We went to the fox, had a cracking meal. So good went back again the following week and was not disappointed. Food was excellent, and the staff were delightful. We will be regulars. Can not wait to return. The beef was superb.

Called in for dinner late on a Saturday. Manager was very welcoming. We sat at the bar and had drinks while we checked out the menu and placed our order. When our food was nearly ready we were moved to a table in a cosy side room. The food was excellent, a beautifully crispy piece of haddock (fish and chips)...

The Fox and Hounds is a little gem in the Vale of Glamorgan, we initially chose this place as it is pet friendly and it allowed us to bring our dog who stayed in the room with us. The Fox and Hounds have the most friendly staff you could wish for, our room was clean and tidy with very nice...

This was our second visit, everything was as before, great welcome, great food and very comfortable room! Despite a mix up about our dinner reservation, we had a delicious meal with our family from the local area!
