This is a very quaint hotel (bed and breakfast). Here are the pros and cons: Pros: central location: Close to Bodega Bay, Dillon Beach and Point Reyes. Quaint hotel : turn of the century with modern baths Cons: No one was there to greet you when you arrive. You are supposed to get an access code to the front door...

I've consistently had great visits here for five years now. The cozy room with the little kitchen and fireplace feels like home. Wonderful bed, large bath with great hot water, everything you need. Yummy continental breakfast, friendly and accommodating hosts who never feel obtrusive. You get they keys and make yourself at home. I love how it's so close to...

The continental hotel is a great reproduction of a Victorian hotel. We stayed in room 7 (Lords and Ladies) and were pleased with the room in terms of the size, cleanliness and the antique furniture. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep thinking of the old west. There was a basic continental breakfast provided (only...

I've been coming (mostly for business) to this area for 10 years, but this time was my first stay in Tomales. Discovered the Continental Inn by accident and will definitely return. Not inexpensive, but worth the price. Large rooms in a renovated property on the site of an 1860'ish hotel. Recommend rooms at the back of the hotel, away from...

Stopped in on a whim while traveling Highway 1. Very friendly check in. Cozy room with all the amenities. Lots of character. Plenty of hot water. Eat across the street at the deli. Excellent sandwiches and open early for breakfast.

Very comfortable room, very clean and a great bed, old furniture for that historical look. The original Hotel burned down 3 times so this is a replica of the original. We were there on the weekend so Continental Breakfast was served. Good food. There is a restaurant next door, also a deli and bakery across the street. Places do close...

This was a wonderful, unexpected find for a girls weekend in Tomales. The rooms are of ample size, clean, charming in all respects, & have very comfortable beds. Loved Tomales Bakery across the street and the delicious clam chowder at the William Tell House next door.

This is a hidden secret town, lovely, but small. The room was wonderful, and quaint and CLEAN. No breakfast was available at the hotel during the week, and the only option was a good one across the street where we ate an early dinner and breakfast and it was very good. The town commercial district consists of this hotel, a...

We were on our way to Mendocino via a circuitous route that brought us into Tomales, CA late in the evening. Tomales is not a big place and the hotel was on one of the main four corners. We had made on-line arrangements for room #7 Lords and Ladies per their vernacular. We arrived late and used a previously supplied...

Do you need to disappear from the daily grind? Do you want to go where there is hardly anyone else? Somewhere where there is little cell phone coverage but great internet speed? This is the place. If you stay in the rooms in the back or upstairs, you will have a fairly quiet time. It is a historic place -...
