Walked through to view the grounds and the place had a foreign lady approach aggressively asking if we were visiting. I said yes having a look and she asked us to leave. Some advert for a buisness. No private property signs or anything to tell you they dont like visitors. Would never go near the place after that. And her black dog tried to attack ours.
We had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at Tour House B and B for a family get together and celebration . It was absolutely ideal .. A real home away from home.. Luxurious, welcoming, comfortable, light and airy and spacious. Tour House B and B has a very grand entrance hall and staircase. The bedrooms are very well appointed and tastefully decorated, with massive bathrooms and walk in showers. Comfortable lounges and a conservatory to relax in, and a beautiful breakfast room where an excellent breakfast was served every morning. The grounds are lovely too. We will definitely return and highly recommend Tour House.
This is no normal B+B. From start to finish our stay felt like a 5star hotel. The house is stunning and finished with perfect details and out host went the extra mile. (Literally) We were even driven to Rowallan Castle where we were attending a wedding. The bedrooms are gorgeous and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are the same and another level of luxury. The breakfasts the next morning was delish and perfectly cooked. I only wish we had got to stay longer than one night! Thank you for such a great stay.
This was by far the most luxurious place we stayed at when we were in Scotland. It was in a small town that had a great restaurant and like most places in Scotland everybody was friendly. The owners were amazing, great attitudes, great personalities, and were very generous with their house and property. The beds were very comfortable, the views were spectacular and the breakfast was great. I cannot wait to go back their in the near future to see the deer that are on the grounds, listen to the river that flows through the property and marvel at the night sky. We accidentally left a blanket there, is that a good enough excuse to go back? I think so!!
Beautiful rooms in a beautiful house. Very friendly welcome from Hilary, two beautiful cats and a good traditional breakfast cooked on the AGA. Not a hotel, and the Wi-Fi and TV were a little idiosyncratic, but all questions immediately sorted out. The cats own the house, so maybe avoid if you are allergic, and your dog won't be welcome. Dining facilities in the village are a bit limited - two pubs, one of which has football on TV and one which is trying to be a cocktail bar, but both have good reviews. The garden is extensive but in need of a gardener!
