Highly recommend The Lodge at Tiburon. Very welcoming staff, exceptionally clean and well run property. Parking easy, elevator, and the place was dog friendly! The location is exceptional if you want quiet in the off season - I imaging summer would be lively. This hotel is across the street from the lovely, small Tiburon Harbor that offers ferry service to San Francisco. Good restaurants, market, shops right there too. Maybe 30 minute drive to the city.
Stay in Tiburon and explore the bay area. Great places to eat are only a short walk away from the front door. The food at the Lodge is very good; breakfast is outstanding. Easy drive into wine country! Take the ferry into San Francisco and avoid driving/parking hassle!
Stayed during a business trip. Premium room was good size but furniture was dated, poorly laid out and amenities were cheap. No room service as well. Great location in a very nice town with excellent ferry trip to San Francisco.
I was 100% blown away by the customer service at the Tiburon Lodge. When I was checking in I was talking with the front desk man. During our small talk I mentioned that I was worried about traveling with a baby and wether or not she would be able to sleep in the room. He suggested I upgrade to another room. The upgrade fee was totally reasonable so it went for it. He realized that this might not solve my issue so after clicking around he realized that the room I upgraded to still did not have a separate space. The hotel did have a suite with a separate space but it was booked. Now this is where I was blown away. He picked up the phone and called the person that had that room booked. He said that lots of people book online and don't really know what they booked. Whats the harm in asking if they really want that room? So he calls and the other group booked it cause they wanted to put 4 people in the room and the fold out in the separate space would handle the extra 2 people. The front desk man said I can do one better and give you connecting rooms for the same rate. So we both ended up with a much better experience. I never would have expected that sort of service and real problem solving this day in age. I had a truly great stay and everything went great with the baby.…
The Lodge at Tiburon has clearly weathered all the storms we all have confronted over the past three years. The grounds are beautiful, the restaurant is 1st classed, and all staff are welcoming to your needs. Congratulations to everyone!
We very much enjoyed our stay here. This was our first time in Tiburon and the lodge really is a gem to the area. It’s cozy, clean, comfortable and walking distance to the ferry and many shops and restaurants. We also dined at Tiburon Tavern and really enjoyed the food and service. Overall, the hospitality both at the lodge and restaurant were great. My only complaint is for the carpeting in the room which had a slight smell of wet dog. This is a pet friendly facility so if you’re hypersensitive to this smell then you may want to consider staying somewhere else.
We did a staycation in Tiburon. We have never been to this area of the north bay. The lodge was a great place for us. Within walking distance of the quaint downtown area. Close to the waterfront. We enjoyed the wine hour in the lobby and played games with kids in the front. My wife and I enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Highly recommend.
If you want to get outside of San Francisco, and have a great experience in Marin County, think about visiting the lodge at Tiburon. Your views look back on the San Francisco Bay, Angel, Island, and downtown San Francisco in the far distance. From here you have six or seven great restaurants within walking distance as well as Sonoma 40 minutes away for wine tasting. The staff is very friendly and you feel like family. The restaurant is great and is owned by the same people who owned a really good restaurant called Luna Blue. This is our second Christmas spending four days at the lodge and we will be back .
Very quiet, peaceful location (it was a Sunday evening, but still very nice). Room was very clean and very tastefully remodeled recently. Would definitely stay here again, and hopefully have a bit more time to enjoy the room. Have eaten at the restaurant in the past and has always been a great experience.
For our needs, the location of The Lodge at Tiburon was perfect. There’s a restaurant on site, though over-priced, and friendly, efficient staff at the front desk. At check in, guests are asked to request housekeeping for services you may want daily. Over our 6-day stay, we made easy requests twice (remove soiled towels, empty wastebaskets, fresh coffee cups) and the response was wrong and incomplete both times. The room is best described as basic. The bed was comfortable and parking easy and convenient.
