Unable to get an accomodation in Borrego Springs during a week end I decided to to seek without success a better fate in Salton Sea. Darkness fallen, tired and resigned to drive to Coachella I spotted just a few miles north of Salton Sea on the Hwy 86 a motel sign or at least I thought I saw it. Leaving... More

I have been a camper / paddler at the Salton Sea for many of years. When the winds reached 40 mph it was time to head for a more solid shelter for the night. Knowing the difficult past and present history of the Sea I wasn't expecting much from this place. I was happy to find a bed and a... More

This motel should give you money for staying there, not the other way around. Any price for this place would be a robbery because you need to be compensated for the discomfort. The lower lock of the room could be broken by a child, and the upper one was just covered with scotch tape. On the top of it, the... More

We needed a motel close to Ocotillo Wells to meet up with our off road group and so this was our only option. There was no phone in the room, no clock, everything was old and broken. Not trying to be mean, this place is just REALLY run down. Paint on the wall was chipping, all fixtures and wall plates... More

We chose this place to stay between Anza-Borrego and Joshua Tree because the Coachella music festival had booked up most of the hotels in the Palm Springs area. We thought it would be nice and relaxing to stay by the Salton Sea and were swayed by the positive review of the previous reviewer. I am not an upscale traveler, and... More

Pleasant people. Right next to every room there is parking available. Called for extra towels, and got them in no time. I was impressed. Staff was courteous and were pleasant on the phone when we called to verify. Room was upgraded free, from 2 doubles to 2 queens. It was dated, but clean and had a view of the marina.... More
