Our first time staying at this winery. All rooms are large with sofa bed, table for dining and 2 comfortable chairs. Large bathroom with 2 sinks, large tub and a nice large walk-in shower (2 showerheads) and a faux fireplace. All rooms have a patio overlooking the vineyard. In the morning we were surprised by the hot air balloons. We did the wine tasting and we were helped by Emily who was helpful and knowledgeable. We also did the olive oil tasting. Emily was friendly and made time to answer all our questions. Check it out when you are in the area. We are definitely going back.

Family wedding at Villa de amour. It was close; convenient, near restaurants, local stores. Love the view of the hot air balloon. Staff was great, took a chance when we arrived early and rooms were ready.

We had a great time celebrating our daughters birthday with 2 rooms for 2 nights at Carter Estate. We had rooms right next to each other with patios overlooking the vineyards. The location is perfect to get to multiple tasting rooms and restaurants around us. The breakfast was wonderful and the shuttle service over to South Coast Spa area pool was convenient and speedy.

We had a wonderful stay in a room facing the vineyards. The room was large and came with a complimentary bottle of wine. The patio overlooked the vineyards and in the mornings balloons flew overhead! The weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t comfortably sit outside and watch while we had breakfast, but we took millions of pictures! While it was fantastic to have breakfast delivered to the door, be warned that the muffins/croissants are Hampton Inn style pastries! The fresh fruit plate was delicious, though, and coffee and tea arrived piping hot. I did use the small pool on property—it was in the high fifties so I had it to myself—it was well-heated so I was quite happy, although the hot tub was not working. Overall, a lovely stay!

Carter estate was great! Nice big showers and beds were comfy. Suites were spacious and the view to the vineyards was amazing. We got a bottle of wine upon arrival which was nice too. Had a couples massage at GrapeSeed which was great as well. Will be staying here again

Incredible room view by the vineyard. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Great Wi-Fi and pool was great. Fitness center was in the sister property (access by car or a shuttle) and breakfast was very limited.

Room and location is exquisite. Unfortunately, mattresses need to be replaced. We had a very uncomfortable sleep. If you are traveling to their pet friendly resort. Be aware, the pet fee is $150. We are accustomed to paying $25-$75 when traveling with our 10 pound poodle. Highly recommend the location, staff; very friendly, and the casita was very spacious with scenic Vineyard views. Very convenient parking right in front of the casita.

We enjoyed our stay at Carter Winery. It was in a convenient location and near many wineries. We didn't mind that they didn't have daily maid service because they called us to see if we needed anything and brought extra towels. The continental breakfast was brought to us at the time we requested. The coffee and yogurt were very good but the pastries and croissants were a little stale. Luckily our neighbors were quiet as there is an outer door that could have been noisy. Overall, we had a very good experience and would return for another stay.
