Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In desperate need of an upgrade. Staff was always “bothered” by any questions or accommodations. The restaurant prices are ridiculous for such an average menu and average food and decor that is still as it was in the 90’s. The water pressure in our room was a trickle. Just really bad.

We chose this location for a quick couple's get-away weekend and were blown away by the grounds! Breathtaking and walk-able, the pool area was our hang-out for the weekend, staff was attentive and helpful with wine recommendations. There was so much to see/do, but our trip was more about quality time together, so we took advantage of the villa room and the patio area our room had. Truly felt transported and will visit again.

First time staying in Temecula Wine Country related to family wedding. Stayed and dined at South Coast Winery Resort. Over the years stayed/experienced almost monthly Napa Valley. This experience at the resort was almost equal without extravagant cost and congestion. Also very convenient to S Calif. Greatly impressed with quality of their food at the resort restaurant. Visitor customer service was outstanding especially by Macy. Villa suites were very upscale at reasonable price $275 vs Napa $500+. Bathroom in winter could use separate heater. Overall luxurious experience and value.

The location is great and the staff was very nice. The rooms in the villas are VERY DATED and the heat and jacuzzi tub did not work. There were no blankets. 10 years ago these rooms were the bomb but now they need a serious upgrade for the price they are charging.

We recently had a (03) night stay on this property. We booked the unobstructed Mountain View villas as they were touted as the best accommodations for the property. Only one of the two rooms booked were ready at check-in time. After sometime we were finally able to utilize the second room only to find an odd noise that would continually happen anytime water was used within the (04) pod system of the villas. We soon figured out it was the water pump. The toilet had a high pitch squeal that would happen for long amounts of time and we had to take the tank lid off after every flushing to fix the problem. The fireplace was not in working order and the carpet was covered in stickers so we had to wear our shoes whenever we got out of bed. Our room was not serviced the entire time of our stay. I could understand if it was only a two night stay, but we did stay for (03) nights. This is something that was never addressed on their website or when speaking with a reservationist by phone. The garbage was overflowing at this point and we specifically had to call and ask for clean towels, which only came shortly before checkout. I would also suggest better pillows for the rooms. King sized beds usually have King sized and not standard pillows with popcorn stuffing. The experience we had with the restaurant/bar service/tasting room was extraordinary. The food was spectacular, with a wide variety to chose from at their Sunday brunch. It’s unfortunate that the hotel side of this property seems to be lacking. I would suggest a visit to others, but without the stay.

Anniversary celebration came from Texas. Gross bathroom tub, mattress was terrible, nail clippings on the floor in bathroom. Room service options were terrible. Who wants to eat a sandwich for dinner ? Especially on their anniversary. Had to order from outside restaurants. Please feel free to call for more details. 562-500-6273

The hotel was well located. The staff are all very friendly. The restaurant food was overpriced and sort of tasteless. I am sure they could do better. This hotel is well located within the winery area we wanted to visit. The antique stores nearby are superb. Definitely visit the 100 year old dinner-ish Swing Inn Cafe for a meal on Old Town Front Street.

This place is so close to being great but ends up being just good. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and clean, but the quality of the building (specifically the hotel), the furniture, the food, and the small touches of a luxury resort are just not there. The separate restaurant at the front had a gorgeous dining room though, and decent food.

The room is in desperate need of a renovation. Just felt dirty. Also didn’t have the normal “comforts” that one would expect of a luxury hotel. Coffee maker was dirty. Air conditioner didn’t work. Very few towels and blankets in the room.
