Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel is an older Springhill Suites built next to the Interstate with bare minimum being done to remain a Springhill Suites Franchisee. If Marriott loyal, you may still end up staying here (only Marriott property in Temecula), but go in with eyes open. Pros: * Clean * comfy beds * separate rooms for shower/sink and toilet/sink * Free breakfast * friendly staff * indoor pool + basic gym Cons: * Weak HVAC unit. Room stayed too warm for hours after turning on unit to 60 degrees F. Wife didn’t get to sleep for hours * Windows not soundproof; built by and hear I-15 * No mobile key until after physical checkin * Dimly lit parking lot. * Late checkout not granted by status. 1st Come 1st Served morning-of. Paper list has limited blanks for front desk associate to write in names/#s who succeeded at getting one More related to late checkout: For Platinum Bonvoy by not asking status level, they likely violate that 4pm Checkout is a Guaranteed benefit. Full transparency, I’m Gold Bonvoy this year so Gold is only “subject to availability” but they never asked nor looked up my room # in the system. How could they know my status level? They just looked at a hand-written sheet of late checkout requests. It appears to be anyone can ask for a late checkout. How is it a late checkout if I have to get up early enough to beat the rush to request one? Tried at checkin and they said I had to ask in the morning of checkout.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Your experience with the highway noise, late checkout, and staff not recognizing your status before committing on the check is of great concern to us. And we sincerely apologize. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and that mean acknowledgement of your status, insuring the A/C unit is not problematic and placing you on the none highway side if possible to avoid the noise challenge. Again, our sincere apology. I will be sharing your feedback with our associates and leadership team, so we can do our best to ensure this does not occur again. As a result of my review of your experience, I will add 5000 points to Marriott BonVoy account for the inconveniences that you experienced. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to see you again. Feel free to let me know if there is anything we can do to make your next stay a memorable one.

We stayed for 5 nights visiting friends in the area . We golfed at cross creek and enjoyed Wilson winery . Our room was comfortable and the bed was good . Shower was a little aggressive but worked . Wish we would have had more room cleaning once in 5 days was not enough . I know due to covid that has been reduced but our room fees are not reflective of less service . The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the easy of the morning meal. We had a issues with air conditioner and it was replaced in 10 min This is impressive. We did find the walls quite thin and did hear the guests beside us and the movement above us .

We had a first floor room on the freeway side, and I was worried it would be noisy because of some other reviews, but it didn’t bother us at all. Loved the high ceilings on the first floor, loved the modern design aesthetic. Bed was comfy, everything was clean. Breakfast was good enough to get us going in the morning. Location was pretty good, we did a wine tasting tour that had optional hotel pickup and this place was on the list. Staff was friendly, we had a little issue at check in with a fridge that was making a strange noise and I reported it to the Front Desk on our way out to dinner, it was fixed when we got back. We had a great trip, glad we decided to stay here instead of at one of the wineries.

Stayed here with Bonvoy points to go to a jazz concert at Thornton Winersy. Just off freeway exit, walking distance to Old Town, about ten minutes from wineries. Room was clean, quiet. Staff very friendly and helptul. Shower with gallons of hot water; apparently no drought in Temecula. Comfortable bed. A bit of an odd room layout with sliding doors for separate toilet and shower compartments. Not a lot of storage space but there was a microwave, coffee maker, and small fridge. Like a lot of "modern" hotel rooms there just wasn't enough light. Reading lights over the bed were good but not enough light in the bathroom for my wife to put on makeup. Breakfast was good with complete selection of eggs, sausage, waffles, baked goods, fruit juuices, and cereal.

The rooms on the first floor all had an overpowering sewer smell, no maid service for 3 days, breakfast had not coffee and the place was horribly overpriced! Worst Marriott I had ever stayed in. Staff was nice, but they were overworked.

They've still got plexiglass up everywhere, they're wearing masks and a homeless person went in and made a plate at the buffet. I have compassion, but if they're so frightened by covid, and still let a homeless person in to raid the buffet while charging $1,000 for three nights??? Booo. By the way, we had to use the same towels and make our beds every morning. FOR $1,000 FOR THREE NIGHTS!!!! I could have stayed at the winery where the wedding was held. Horrible. Won't venture back, I'll stay at a winery.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us here at the SpringHill Suites. "Putting People First is top priority. I understand that you might not like that the plexiglass is still separating the guest from the staff, but we are only following rules. We are no longer wearing mask as this has been lifted at Marriott. You address the homeless person coming in and helping himself/herself to the buffet. Thank you for sharing with our staff, so now it has been address by management and we are looking into ways to prevent this from happening. Our deepest apology for this inconvenience. As far as the towels are concerned, you had the opportunity to contact us and share with us that you would like your towels replaced. We again, are so sorry that you did not allow us the opportunity to serve you as best as possible. I am so sorry that you feel that we are working in fear. But, we are only following the instructions provided to us. Again, our deepest apology for making you feel uncomfortable in anyway.

Nice enough hotel, price was good, but the front desk was almost always without a staff person. Simple breakfast but great to have to start the day. My sister and I had our own rooms, when we checked out our bills were emailed to us. My sister got a second email about an hour later, adding on a $150 Pet Fee. My sister has not had even a guppy, she washes her hands after she pets my dog. She called about the issue and was told that they would review the security footage and get back to her. She did not hear back, and called the next day, they said they would take the charge off the bill, but still believed that she had a dog in her room. They also said it was on her Bonvoy profile, which is not true. She would never complain but I thought that this was a horrible way to treat someome!

Dear Valued Guest, We want to thank you for taking the time out to share this information regarding the pet issue. It is still being reviewed. This review is for the service, Martin at the front desk/reservations was so patient, accommodating, efficient, friendly and extremely helpful in us planning the last day of our stay to an additional evening with ADA considerations + an adjoining/connecting room. It is rare to find a gem like this in client service business. Martin should be commended!

We decided to burn 40,000 Bonvoy points rather than pay over $300 and that was a wise choice. Overall you get what you expect here - it is clean, the beds are adequate, and everything in the room works. However when we asked for some extra pillows we were initially denied “because of COVID.” After we pushed back they reluctantly relented but reminded us that they were “making an exception.” Additionally, they made us sign a waiver of some sort when we checked in that listed all of the services they were either not operating or had modified, again, because of COVID, I assume so that when anyone complains they can remind them that they signed it. Again, this property is about as one would expect, albeit pricey for what it is, and I can say with confidence we’ve stayed here twice - the first time and the last time.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write a review in regards to your stay with us. We are so very sorry we did not meet your expectations. We are happy to hear we met your cleanliness standards and all was in working order in your room. We provide you with a total of 3 pillows in your room on the bed along with a pillow in your closet and provided you with two extra pillows upon request. As explained we could not provide more due to our supply is limited and due to our vendors not having enough supply and orders being on back order and we were sold out being able to only provide you with two extra on top of the ones that were already supplied in your room. We need to make sure we have enough stock for all guests that place a request as well. We are really hoping to get all of our amenities fully open as soon as possible. Please accept our most sincere apologies for the issues you did experience. We hope you will reconsider and give us another opportunity in the future when your travels bring you back to Temecula, Ca. Sincere Regards, Marie Pranger General Manager

We are on an extended stay to support a family member who will be delivering a second child any day now. We were able to book a rate that allowed us to stay at a reasonable rate, even over a holiday, Thanksgiving. On arrival we found the staff so welcoming, ready to assist and accommodating. The room is very clean, comfortable with an arrangement that allows for working, relaxing and eating in, as well as getting a restful night sleep. Anything we have requested has been available at the desk. We have been very pleased with our choice. The breakfast choices are currently limited to basics, but are mainly sweet items. But, it is always good to be able to grab something in house. We enjoy swimming but the water in the pool that is open is cold. It would be nice to have it heated. The stay had been a great home base for us over multiple days. We would not hesitate to stay again!
