I was worried about my stay after reading the most recent reviews. That is why I felt it was important to write my experience in the hope that it helps someone else. This was an overnight stay on a Thursday in the Tempranillo Room which is located a short drive across the street from Europa Village. Check -in was quick and friendly with complimentary glasses of Sangria (really good). The room was newly remodeled, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Our room had a TV, loveseat, desk and chair, closet, robes, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, 2 nightstands and balcony with two chairs overlooking the vineyard. There is a communal TV area with a cozy couch and fireplace and dining area with a dining table, cute coffee bar, and refrigerator. Outside on the communal patio is a fire pit area and hot tub. In the morning, you can go to the coffee bar, make a cup and sit out on your balcony or relax in the communal area. We had amazing food and service at their restaurant, Bolero. We also had excellent service in the wine tasting room. The facility is expanding to include a spa, 40 additional rooms, and amphitheater so there is some construction going on. Since we stayed on the hill across the street, we were not bothered by this. Overall, my husband and I had an excellent, relaxing overnight get-away. I am definitely coming back .

This review is about the Inn- Booked ahead directly through the hotel. The good- the bed was fine The bad - where do I begin! Room was not ready until 5 pm and it looked nothing like photos on website.Check in was in a different building about a 1/2 mile away. The tv was not setup ( “oh yeah, we are waiting for a part “) no working wifi in the room so couldn’t stream, or get any work done. No hangers, no drawers, one bed stand , nowhere to place luggage. Heater/AC fan was very loud turning on and off all night long. An unpleasant and disappointing stay. One night was one night too many.

The place was full of furniture that was thrown in the garden instead of moving it to a warehouse. The fire pit was broken. The customer service was terrible from the check in to the answer to my compliments. Bad cost/ quality. Not recommended at all

We had a confirmed mid-December booking and were travelling to Temecula for our Europa stay when we received a sketchy call from the hotel @ approximately 8:00 0pm on arrival day, inquiring when we would be checking-in. We advised that we were within 30 mins. Then shortly another call to advise us that the room was not available and we were booked to an Embassy Suites nearby as an alternate. Each successive call was sketchier, but the net-net is that we were never given a good explanation, and we believe they oversold the rooms. Such a disappointment. It was a birthday trip, we had what appeared a nice room booked, and they left us without a place and scrambling to find an alternative at 8pm. This has never happened to us before. Stunning. Apparently this hotel considers themselves of similar stay and value to Embassy Suites.

We stayed in the Cab Sauvignon room. We were surprised to discover that it was not a suite and that the outdoor space was not private - in fact, it is right next to the common area and rooms. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, fire and jet tub worked, and room was clean. However, there are 2 major issues that have been noted in reviews that management could fix for the cost of less than 1 night stay in this room - and I am shocked they haven’t yet. I hope they will after reading our review, to benefit themselves (more business) and future customers: (1) the bright light right outside the room is awful. Covering it with a towel made it only barely dimmer enough for us to sleep. Someday a customer will just break it in their frustration - there was evidence some have tried to break into it. Seriously, how much effort is it to change for a dimmer bulb?? (2) the lack of seating is worse than a motel 6. We brought a game to play and had to sit on the floor. There is one chair - not enough for 2 to sit - and no side table. Only place to sit with coffee or to take dessert to go is on the bed. A 2nd chair and side table wouldn’t set you back so much. I hope management will have pride in the place and fix these things - on the way to making overall updates that will be needed to keep it fresh and desirable.

This is a private bedroom and bath in a large home. While the bed was comfortable there is no TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, clock, paper and pen, hair dyer, or adequate lighting to read by. There was a desk with only 1 chair for the 2 of us to sit in. There is a communal area with a communal refrigerator, TV, and coffee maker, but if you want to sit in your pajamas and drink coffee, not an option. The first morning husband went down to make coffee, no water in the dispenser or sink. He brought the coffee maker to our room to fill and took it back to the communal area. Second morning the same issue, no water. Breakfast at their restaurant, which is not on the inn grounds, was included. Morning 1 we arrived and stood at the hostess stand waiting to be seated, after 5 minutes we seated ourselves, there was one other couple there. Eventually a young man came out and scolded us for seating ourselves and for not making a reservation. Rough start, the waitress was kind and the food good. Morning 2 we made a reservation and were seated. When breakfast was served I asked for a coffee refill, I never got it. Upon check out I asked for a comment card, they don't have any. Aside we were never offered a wine tasting or a glass of their wine. It seems as if they are not interested in customer service at all. We have stayed at several wineries with delightful experiences but will never return to Europa.

This was a disappointing stay. First, the hotel is in a separate location from the Euro village and winery, which is not made clear and staff tried to hide that fact. When we checked in, the staff told us continued on the unlaced road until it ended then turn left and the building would be on the right. What they failed to mention is that the unlaced road is the end of their property and we could have to cross over a street to get there. Second, the road to get to the inn is really only for one way traffic yet it’s a two way street, it’s chaotic to get up and down. Third, there’s nothing here. No restaurants, service etc. we were given a “24 hour” number to call for service yet no one answered when we called. Not worth the struggle to stay here

I stayed at the Inn this past weekend while attending my cousins wedding in Temecula. Upon arriving at Europa Village I was in awe of how beautiful the grounds were, but was instantly disappointed on walking into reception and noticing the staff and guests are not required to be masked in common areas. It’s frustrating to travel during the pandemic and realize the hotel is not trying its best to keep its guests as safe as possible, especially when they require check in indoors. It was also immediately apparent that my stay at the Inn would in no way be reflected by the pictures on the website or by the place I checked into reception. The Inn itself is very dated and needs repair/updating in many areas. It was disappointing to imagine I was going to have luxury accommodations to open my room door and realize that was hardly going to be the case. I will say that the bed was really comfortable but beyond that there wasn’t much about the room that was exciting or felt worth the price. The views from the grounds were beautiful, but again didn’t make it feel like it was worth the expense per night. I would not stay at this property again, for lack of transparency on the Inn’s condition compared to the rest of their property, plus their complete failing of Covid safety measures. The wine I purchased from the wine room was also really awful. Overall just a disappointing experience all around.

We have been here before. First when it was called Loma Vista and owned by a couple, then when a corporation took over and hired Chef Dean to manage this Inn. Chef Dean was wonderful and the food was amazing. It was still a bed and breakfast. Since then, it has gone down in quality mostly due to neglect by the owner who wants to boost the other part of his resort, and it's sad. This is a lovely property and for the most part, the beds are very comfortable even if the furniture needs repair and replacement as our side drawers on our side tables stuck and plants look like they haven't been cared for. You receive your keys from the resort desk below and enter an empty feeling house that looks like it was recently abandoned in terms of spirit. Maybe it's because it's not really staffed anymore and there is no chef to serve you your breakfast in the house. Instead, you receive a certificate for two $20 breakfasts (which average 16 not counting coffee) so you are paying out of pocket. We were celebrating our 31st anniversary (or trying to celebrate our 30th since we couldn't do so last year, and although someone at the desk had promised us a bottle champagne for celebration, there was nothing in our room that even acknowledged that. I did mention this to one of the management and they were kind enough to make amends. The experience is still that this Inn on the top of the hill overlooking the vineyards deserves more attention and I can't understand why people give this a 5. It lacks a hospitable feeling and we had to call down to the reception to please furnish coffee cups as there were none when we returned from an aborted balloon ride..

Wonderful little getaway at this lovely b&b. Lovely view, large balcony. Comfortable room, awesome shower. Highly recommend Tempranillo room. Creative breakfast, excellent on site restaurant and winery. Join the wine club - generous benefits. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Get ready to slow your heartrate. In a good way.
