We stayed here in July for a nearby wedding on the recommendation of the bride. The location was good, but otherwise the lodge was very disappointing. As others have commented, there is no air conditioning. We were in room 20, which is closest to the highway. The windows had to be open as it was too hot with them closed....

The check-in and check-out process was quick and the staff was very friendly. The room was small, however very clean and comfortable, maybe the best hotel bed we've slept on. The kids that work at the restaurant could not have been more accommodating. We will be back. J&M

The lake view room balcony is small, but has a great view. You may have to park across the highway if their restaurant customers take up all the parking. The weekend brunch on the deck was terrific. The room was nicely decorated. The bathroom had a large tile floor shower with good traction and functional high shelving so you don't have...

I was there in mid-June for a wedding. I stayed Thursday through Sunday. Had a lakeview room which was truly lovely, comfortable bed, linens and a recently renovated and beautifully appointed bathroom. However, with no curtains above the patio doors the 5:30 sunrises (gorgeous) started the days much too early and hot even though they were gorgeous; the ridiculous tape...

This is an an above average lodge with many nice points but with some serious problems. The location on the west shore is beautiful and the views of the lake are astounding. The buildings and grounds are immaculate and well-maintained. Staff are generally helpful, friendly, and professional. Wi-fi is free. The continental breakfast is a nice touch. With the advance...

Stayed the first week of June for three days midweek. As usual food was great and service excellent. Can't beat the views. The restaurant is convenient and the deck bar is great. The stay includes a continental breakfast each morning that includes one hot egg dish.

Just spend a lovely evening at Sunnyside with my brother and sister. Off season and it was quiet but still great service, terrific dinner and wonderful breakfast. Although staff was orienting new employees and getting things spiffed up for upcoming crowds, they were attentive to us. We had a mix-up about our reservation and the manager graciously helped us settle...

I would advise any Seniors not to stay here. Two many stairs to climb and bathrooms are so small and toilets are so low it's very difficult. If you have a walker forget it go somewhere else. For the price they charge I think you could do much better. They have one handicap room and they rented it to a...

We stayed here n our honeymoon in 2002 and again with our kids in 2014. Great base for exploring Tahoe. Rustic, homely rooms. Some are currently being renovated. Fab views. Was very quiet but we were out of season (best time to go?). And a bottle of champagne in our room :)
