Richard & Charmy are such delightful hosts. They make you feel like you're visiting them as relatives, not as a business venture of lodging. Breakfast was wonderful & extremely filling with a fruit medley, choices of coffee & teas, plenty of juice (I adore those tiny individual pitchers for juice) and our pancakes & sausage from Richard were perfect. We...

What a lovely and comfortable B&B, and what wonderful hosts! The location is great, and our evening walk over the river and along the tracks yielded wonderful bird sightings! The breakfast was excellent, and so were the large chocolate chunk cookies in the jar by the stairway. The hosts, Richard and Charmy, provided us with wonderful food and great company,...

My wife and I stayed here one night and it was the perfect bed and breakfast. The hosts, Richard and Charmy are nice warm people. The house is perfectly set up, with beautiful pieces of antique furniture in every room. We had the larger of the four rooms and it had a sitting room with a table and an extra...

If you have to visit Susanville, the Roseberry House Bed and Breakfast is the place to stay! Other hotels in this dusty California mountain town hotels look rather drab, but this big Victorian house at the top of a hill is a bright spot. Despite the smoke from wildfires clouding the air and the 90 degree August temperatures, the innkeepers...

Richard and Charmy obviously like people and half the fun of this place is chatting with them in parlor on the way in. Clearly the best place to stay in Susanville and worth calling ahead to be sure you can get one of the 3 rooms. I was a bit worried since I can usually smell mold a mile away...but...

Enjoyed the stay at this bed and breakfast. It is located in a quiet neighborhood one block off of the main street through Susanville. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, Homemade cookies at the foot of the staircase helped establish the ambiance of the visit. They will prepare a hearty breakfast whenever you plan on getting up - even...

My husband and I stayed at the Roseberry House for three nights in mid-September. It was a positively enjoyable experience - like staying with your favorite aunt and uncle, only better. Richard and Charmy were perfect hosts. They had many suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The Lassen Ale Works was our favorite spot for dinner, but...

Very Much enjoyed the stay with Richard and Charmy. Breakfast was excellent. They infuse their own garden vegetables and fruits into the meal -family recipe bran muffins - this was a perfectly seasoned meal full of flavor. Susanville was a jumping off point for us to see Eagle Lake. Later, we guided some stranded Swiss vacationers to Roseberry House when...

So you have to visit your spouse's family in Susanville, but you know you'll need a little sanity break. What to do, what to do... May I suggest a peaceful respite, gentle reader? Perhaps some time alone with your beloved, a few hours before and after performing your familial duties. A little porch time to read a book. Some delicious...
