I stayed here before and noticed that they upgraded the public area as well as the inside the room which was nice. However, the parking lot was very narrow and it's hard to find a spot. Also one car's window was smashed and I remember reading about it (vandalizing cars) here and thought gee it's still happening. So I was uneasy to park (no valuable inside but still). they charge $35 to park here so they need to hire a security guard. There are many hotels to choose from so they need to do better.
. I am typically not one to complain at all, as it takes time to send emails like this. However, my stay here is not going well at all. Day 1(4/14), I called the front desk because the thermostat was not working in my room. The front desk agent told me that it only works on a/c or the off mode. She offer to bring me a space heater. The first space heater she brought me did not work. I told her and she brought me another which she guaranteed it worked because she plugged it in. However, the 2nd space has a shortage, which it comes on and goes out. I told her that the 2nd space heater did not work, and I never heard anything back(heat still doesn’t work in my room). After that, I went downstairs to see if the business center was open and course it was close due to Covid, which is understandable. So I proceed to the front desk to ask the agent is it possible for him to print something for me. He(Jeffrey) asks how many pages because it depends. Which I don’t how it depends when the business is closed. I told him 2 pages and he proceeded to print the documents. Fast forward to the next day, I come from work and I am locked out my room, so I went downstairs to get a key and the agent told me to keep it away from my phone next time. Fast forward to day Day 2 and Day 3. The keys deactivated every single day. There has not been a day that I have not had to go to the front desk to get a key made. When I purposely to do not put the key around any electronic devices. All the end with my encounter today with Jeffrey again, which I want to say he may have a problem with Southern Black people and their accents because I asked him could I add a name to my room because my cousin coming to visit me while I was at work and I did not want him to wait on me if he did not have to. Jeffrey looks at me crazy tells me that he doesn’t understand what I’m saying. I said “ I want to add a name”. He responds “oh you mean a guest.” I respond back and said “well the guess has to have a name correct.” It was a very nasty exchange which was totally unnecessary. Jeffrey proceeds to tell that I made the reservation for only one person and person’s name can be on the room so would have to charge me. Which if that’s policy, that’s fine. Typically most hotels charge after the 2nd occupant, but I told him that it was fine no need to add my cousin, he can just wait on me. …
I enjoyed my stay at Embassy Suites. I trust these hotels, and I have never had a bad experience at one. It was very clean and looked pleasing to the eye. The staff was helpful and nice! I loved my stay at Embassy Suites!
This is the first hotel during Covid I’ve stayed in - sadly it just wasn’t up to par, may have management issues/ no shuttle to airport - employees were all very nice and sweet - floors / elevators not very well kept up for cleanliness sadly
Manager was extremely unprofessional with is snarky attitude and sarcasm towards me when I complained to the front desk staff. I won't be staying at this specific hotel again. I hope others haven't had the same kind of experience.
