We had a lovely 23rd Anniversary here at the charming Bissell home. We were pleasantly surprised as to how quite it was in the home. We hardly heard anyone.😉 And we thought we'd hear the traffic and be distracted with the traffic but it wasn't like that at all. The grounds are surrounded by trees and flowers and some friendly... Our stay was flawless. It was quiet, the living room was equipped with a refrigerator for our perishables, afternoon snacks, and ample reading material about Pasadena as well as current newspapers. The room was tastefully appointed and had the earmarks of a victorian home of the period. The owners are delightful and sensitive to catering to their guests at the... More

We stayed at the Bissell house because we were going to a concert at The Rose Bowl. The owners were very nice and welcoming upon our arrival. Our room was perfect and the breakfast served was delicious. We would for sure stay here again and would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast. I loved the location and the history of... More

My wife and I spent one night at the Bissell House B&B. The house itself is absolutely lovely - stately, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Will, the proprietor, is welcoming, warm, and accommodating in every respect. We asked for restaurant recommendations and he offered several. Once we decided, he made our reservation and it worked out beautifully. Our room was... More

Beautiful and Historic location, warm and extremely friendly staff! Clean and Aesthetically appropriate decor throughout the house, a tasty and hearty breakfast as well as lovely patio set up should you wish to sit outside privately (Shaded and aired by the trees!). Value on all fronts! I felt very comfortable.

As a road warrior, I found The Bissell House to be a delightful alternative to the mundane aspects of impersonal hotels. How wonderful to be checked in by members of the family-run bed and breakfast who are always available to cater to my needs. They were beaming with pride for the rich history of the stunning home, and passionate about... More

This charming, family-run B & B in the heart of Pasadena was the perfect lodging for a weekend with friends. The Bissell House completed our immersion in historic arts and culture as we explored the Gamble House, Norton Simon Museum, Huntington Library and Gardens, and wonderful restaurants, which are all minutes away. The Bissell House experience was lovely and relaxing... More

I stayed with friends at the Bissell House in September. I was immediately impressed with the classic Victorian style and charm the house has to offer. There is a beautiful pool and hot tub surrounded by a very well-manicured garden. Each room has its own theme and we all agreed that the beds were some of the most comfortable we've... More

Beautiful location, really nice people, good food and a good price. This will be my first recommendation to anyone going to the Pasadena area for a stay. You should know that the rooms are up stairs - in my case, two flights - but once there it was worth it.

We stayed in the Bissell House at the end of our 4-week trip through Route 66. The owners made us so welcome in their stunning home. We would recommend staying at a bad and breakfast rather than... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review! Route 66 is such a fun journey. We've driven across country at least a dozen times as a family growing up. We hope you find your way back out and stay with us again. More
