This review is regarding renting out a room, not attending an event. Stayed here for a few nights recently while exploring Sonoma wine country. The location is great, just a 10-minute walk from the Sonoma town square. The grounds are also inviting and clean. The biggest problem was the room. My wife and I stayed in room 1. It was very spacious and clean, and had a very nice upgraded looking bathroom; however, the room had some odd features that made the stay less enjoyable. For one, room one didn't have side tables next to the bed. Instead, it had a shelf behind the bed, which is awkward to use. The A/C was very powerful, but so much so that it was a bit over to top loud when turning on. There were no window treatments on the windows, just blinds. The tv is miniature, maybe 19", and it very far from the bed, and also situated up on a high shelf off to the side, which made it unusable. The bed was also very soft. That might be ok for some, but for me, it made my back ache. The room had so much potential, but it seems like it was put together by someone who didn't know what they were doing. Tuesdays are Pinot and Pizza Night at The Generals Daughter in Sonoma and a locals tradition. Here is the deal: for $25 you get a glass of wine, a fresh salad (changing every week), choice of one of four personal size pizzas (most popular are the margarita and meat lovers- a formulation that also changes each week), and a desert. For example last nights desert was pear cream brulee. Generous wine refills are available at a decent price. The wines change week to week, featuring a Sonoma wine maker typically with a concurrent on site wine tasting. My wife and I have also attended other events at The General Daughters. One of favorites is the Sojourn release party, where some of the finest Sonoma wines are paired with hearty appetizers. In all cases the food comes from Ramekin's Kitchens. The food is seasonal, tasty, and well executed. The beautiful Victorian style home was General Vallejo's daughter, and a Sonoma historical treasure.…

I’ve been enjoying cooking for nearly 65 years, and my visit to Ramekin’s Culinary School was the adventure of a lifetime. The cooking class I took was informative, innovated, entertaining, and simply the most fun time I’ve ever had preparing food. It was worth every penny paid, and I will, more than likely, take another class there.

What a lovely place to have a wedding. Outdoor ceremony was beyond gorgeous. Service was amazing. Wedding food was absolutely delicious! Felt very spoiled to attend a wedding here. The attention to details was so very noticed.

We came to Ramekins because of the rehearsal dinner for my Son's wedding. The food was outstanding and the service was really good too. I have only wonderful thoughts of this lovely place and the wonderful food! We only came here for the rehearsal dinner.

We did not stay at the Inn, but went to a wedding at Ramekins and were so impressed. The space is absolutely gorgeous - the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour were amazing, we loved the dining area set up with beautiful lights on the patio, and the indoor space for the reception dancing was gorgeous. The food was fabulous - wedding venues always seem to be hit or miss with food, but not Ramekins. You can definitely tell that it's a culinary school. The entrees were served family style, and it was great to be able to try a bit of everything. The best part? The pizza at the end of the night, cooked in the outdoor pizza over. Highly recommend for a wedding or event!

We were excited to stay here, but were quite disappointed in what we experienced. While the room was very nice and the bed comfortable, there was no hot water for hand washing or the shower. The shower pressure was miserable, and we are used to low water pressure. What we could not figure out is why they don’t seem to provide hand washing soap and towels in the breakfast area. They sell hand soap downstairs, but there is none in the kitchen area. When we entered our room, the staff was using our restroom and did not wash her hands as there were only guest towels. Where could she wash her hands? I don’t know.

Came here for an opening night to a long wedding weekend. The venue is expansive and cozy - the outdoor space was my favorite. The food was great (not sure if it was catered in or from the school), and we enjoyed spending our night here. Plus, location is right near town, and perfect for staying local.

During March and April on Tuesday evening they serve a choice to three flatbread type pizzas with a glass of Pinot Noir. Choices seem to cover most people's taste buds and can vary over the weeks. Pinot is usually something local with additional tasting sometimes in the bar area. A nice shared salad comes first followed by a small desert to finish the meal. You could call ahead to see what choices will be available. Doesn't look like a place that accepts reservations, as everyone lines up at the door. Good friendly service with solo music sometimes.

After a 12 hour day of meetings, my company hosted a fun event at Ramekins. Before leaving the hotel, all I wanted to do was go to sleep but I'm so happy I didn't. This was a great experience!!! Lisa and all the staff were amazing. We learned how to cook some items and tasted different oils. I really enjoyed myself. Thank you to the entire staff that worked late to make our event so memorable. This is a must do!
