This is a beautiful facility that needs maintenance ranging from plumbing fixtures in the room to facilities not functioning at the spa. The dinner at Sante was awful. The front desk needs training. It seems like a Fairmont should be past Covid staffing issues by now.
Lovely resort. The staff and service were both excellent and professional. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We loved the food especially the brunch that was served. We also enjoyed the informative hike with hotel staff guides.
Magical Time at the spa! From the Hot Spring Waters with relaxing spa music as you float to all the GOODIES in the Boutique! The Spa Cafe has light and fresh options and the complimentary tea and trail mix was a great addition. ALL OF THE STAFF WAS AMAZING AND HELPFUL WOW! 👌🏽 Will be back very soon.
Everyone at the spa is super nice! I love my massage with Bryan! At check in Linda explained everything with details. Liz the manager is awesome! The spa attendants Cesar and Susana are always working hard and making sure everything looks organized! I cant wait to be back!
I love the feel of this hotel but on our visit the grounds were covered with tents, wood flooring laid on grass, large trucks and many, many workers preparing for events. This was very disturbing to us as we were unable to really enjoy the lovely grounds and peaceful surroundings. Here’s what I would recommend: make the catering staff supervise more carefully the set up for parties. Have the trucks unload their goods and then remove the trucks. Ask the workers to speak very softly so as not to disturb the guests. Have these jobs done with supervision so they are completed rapidly and do not drag on. Remove the wooded planking as soon as it is no longer needed. Oversee the truck parking so they do not obscure the hotel and the driveway and distract from the front of the hotel. This happens very efficiently in other high end hotels. Guests are paying for a lovely visit and not someone else’s party set up. The rooms are still dark and having a large bathtub in the middle of a bedroom is very unappealing. The staff is great! The front desk is a little disorganized and had a big issue figuring out my bill which is unforgivable. The bartenders were wonderful as was the woman who took care of us at breakfast. I love how pet friendly this hotel is. You can bring your dog almost everywhere which we enjoyed. In terms of value: the prices are too high as the hotel is attempting to make up revenue in catered events which leaves a large part of the hotel unusable. My suggestions for these events are above. It’s pretty simple to change your policies and tighten up the behavior of catering staff. No one is supervising them. Would I go back? Probably as my dog loved it there.…
Before jumping to write a negative review, I sent an email directly to management with my concerns and our disappointing experience. My partner booked us a 2 night stay during the holidays as a way for us to relax. We left feeling frustrated instead. Long story short, to summarize some of our concerns; we called ahead to schedule massages and struggled to get an appointment, check in took forever and we waited almost an hour to get our room even though we did not arrive earlier than check in, there were no towels/robes/slippers in the room which I had to call down for. We tried to get into the spa the next day but it was so busy we were on a waitlist and only got in 2 hours before closing and still had to pay. Our massages were scheduled for our last morning before check out, we arrived on time and I received my service but my partner didn't because they said they couldn't find his therapist?! Extremely disappointing stay, especially considering I've stayed at many other Fairmonts. Management does not seem to care about guest experience. Bottom line: look at other options before considering this one.…
I went to the spa and received the BEST massage by Tietzah, I highly recommend you as for her! Barbra at the spa cafe was so attentive and friendly! I love her bright attitude towards us and she would check in and make sure we were taken care of!
I have been to Willow stream spa multiple times. It’s my favorite place to go for a special day of relaxation and stress release. I’ve gone solo, with my husband and with friends and always enjoyed the experience. My favorite massage therapist, Laura, is amazing and gives the best massages ever! I would not go to anyone else for a massage. The mineral pools are wonderful and and the pool service is so attentive and professional. On our last visit, the pool attendant made us feel like royalty. Do not hesitate to go to the spa for a very special treat and ask for Laura! I can’t wait to go back. Nadia
Amazing experience. I needed a break from the kids, from work, from life… I needed to unplug, be pampered and just relax. The spa here was perfection and the hotel was excellent. I will certainly be back.
My friend and I had the most delightful stay recently at the Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. The hotel grounds, main lobby and rooms are without question gorgeous and wonderfully appointed, but what really, truly warmed our hearts was the extraordinary staff on site. Every single staff person we interacted with at SMI was sincerely kind, exceedingly helpful and charming! They clearly enjoy working at SMI and their joy radiates outward. Kudos to Edward Roe, the GM, and his amazing staff!
