During our recent flooding in Sonoma / Shellville I needed a last minute reservation for me and my yellow Lab while my husband stayed to make sure the house didn’t flood. The manager Dillon Penprase called me back right away and was super accommodating and supportive. The entire staff was friendly and the little bag of dog treats at the front counter was a nice touch I am local and have both stayed at the lodge, had businesss events and had friends and family that visit stay there. We have always felt they realize that the locals are just as important as out of towners. The extra attention during a time of stress makes a huge difference and I am so impressed with the team Dillon has at the Lodge. A sincere thank you and “good well done”!
We stayed at The Lodge from 11/16/21-11/21/21 to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our first experience was how nice The Lodge looked on the outside followed by how nice it looked inside : ). We had a 1 bedroom suite and it was gigantic, well appointed and had nice amenities. We realized that it was next to a bathroom for the conference rooms and above the lobby so we were concerned and asked for a different location. Since another suite was not available the Manager Annabelle was very helpful in getting us joining rooms since we need a door between the bedroom and the living area as my wife is a light sleeper and I am not : ( Annabelle went out of her way to find us an accommodation that suited our needs and gave us a rate that ended up being less than our original booking. We had a great stay and would recommend The Lodge to anyone visiting the Sonoma area.…
The Lodge is well located near the town square, good service and ambience making you feel you are in wine country keeping it rustic and modern. Make sure you get a room located near the lobby as the property is large.
We had a wonderful three-night stay at the Lodge at Sonoma Resort between Christmas and New Years. Though it was rainy for much of the time, the rooms are so cozy and well-appointed. We stayed in one of the cottages, which had a fireplace, comfy bed, fridge, in-room coffee, a lovely shower, small patio, and plenty of space for us and our dog. The bigger cottages with outdoor tubs and larger patios also looked amazing--we want to stay in one of those next! We had breakfast in our room one of the days, and the food was delicious. We also ate at Wit & Wisdom on our last night, which was a wonderful experience. Not surprisingly for Sonoma, their wine list is impressive, and the food was excellent. We appreciated their well-heated patio, so we didn't have the leave our dog in the room. We also found the Lodge to be a MUCH better value than the Fairmont (where we have also stayed). The food, the service, the location (within walking distance of Sonoma square and many shops and restaurants--or you can schedule their complementary car), the price for what you get is all much better. We didn't try the spa here, so can't speak to that. Both properties are lovely, don't get me wrong. But we'll check availability here before we go anywhere else in the future.…
Stayed for couple months for work and I'm so glad that this place is pet-friendly. I was able to bring my pet and the rooms are very spacious and staff are super friendly. Theres a restaurant called Wit and Wisdom that won the wine spectator of the year so i was able to try some great selections of wine. Food is amazing also! Plus i can get free shuttle to town so it makes it so easy to get supplies and not worrying about spending uber. Uber is bad in the area theres hardly any so its a nice feature they offer.
The hotel area might seem busy but the hotel rooms themselves (cottage) are very private and secluded. I cant speak for rooms inside the hotel itself, but they seemed central to the restaurant and bar inside. Complimentary wine tastings and beautiful music on the patio. Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Cottage had a fireplace (first floor) and a wonderful patio area where we had the opportunity to relax. Bathroom spacious and what seemed like newer rooms. 10/10.
We’d like to thank the members of the staff who made our stay on nov 23 to 25 most enjoyable. In particular we’d like to acknowledge the service provided us by Hector Lopez, Larry, and other staff in the restaurant. And the great service from Roseanne Acosta and Magda Perez-Reyes. We were upgraded to one of the cottages with a welcoming fireplace. The restaurant staff was terrific and helpful.
If you are looking for a relaxing time in wine country, the Lodge is one of my favorite places in Sonoma. I went with some friends and were greeted with the most bubbly kind staff, not to mention we walked in during there wine hour so it was very nice having a glass of wine walking around there courtyard. Our cottage had a lovely fireplace and patio, we also had bikes! It was a bit cold to do a bike ride to town but we did take the hotel shuttle that was so nice and she picked us up after dinner! With help from there concierge Laurie we were able to plan our wine tasting and dinner plans! Had the best Breakfast at the hotel with a delicious bloody Mary! If you are looking for a great place to escape and relax, this would be my first choose!
Girls night for 4 ladies was well spent at the Lodge, we are all locals and were able to visit for the first time and were blown away but the room, hotel and service! We have already talked about when we will be doing it again! We stayed in their cottages with two beds which was amazing and the fire place was the perfect touch for winter. We also got to enjoy their complimentary shuttle service to the square for our dinner at LaSalette.
What a wonderful stay at the Lodge! I had stayed once before over summer which was beautiful but I am also happy to say that my stay during winter was amazing too! The concierge was very helpful and welcoming. I was staying in one o the cottages for the first time which was so nice for the cold weather! It was very cozy with the fireplace. They have a chauffeur service they offer complimentary in a luxury SUV that goes straight to the downtown square which was perfect especially during the cooler weather as they even pre-heated the car for us. We then got our ride back after dinner and were just a walk away from the hot tub while wearing our comfy robes! Would definitely recommend this spot to all of my friends and family.
